You should listen to the advice given by 'your' surgeon only Elizabeth, if your surgeon doesn't think you need to be wearing a sportsbra then that's fine hunni.
You'll often read conflicting advice from surgeons babe, many do work differently to others, so always follow the advice 'you' paid for babe and trust your surgeon to do the best for 'you' xxx

Re: Should I be wearing a sports bra?
it could be because your having unders,i was told no bra for 6 weeks just a binder.my nurse told me at 1st week check up if i wanted to wear a bra i could but to have the straps as loose as possible so it wouldnt pull the breast upwards.
as the binder is to push the muscle down and help the implant drop.

Re: Should I be wearing a sports bra?
I think that the surgeon is the one who is better able to decide whether you need to wear a sports bra, some say 2 weeks, others 6 and others 12 and then there are those that say no sports bra. Don't worry, I'd just follow your surgeons instructions to the letter, he/she will have your best interests in mind.

Yep listen to your surgeon honey. They all work in different ways so take his/her advice x

I can only echo what's already been said, if you follow YOUR surgeons advice, you can't go wrong hun, they do know best and will always advise on what's best for you.

Some surgeons advise this, others don't. I know it can be very confusing when you read conflicting advice, and tempting to do other things, but only your surgeon knows your case and you must follow his advice hun.

Re: Should I be wearing a sports bra?
Thanks ladies! Went for my checkup today and asked because I don't think I can be braless at work...makes me more uncomfortable. Turns out a sports bra is fine! I'll just let the girls loose as soon as I'm home
