Question about bras post op Empty Question about bras post op

Post by AdrianneSamuella 8th May 2010, 2:35 pm

So after my surgery I've been given a 34E bra. The swelling has slowly gone down as I've been using some ice pack to help (is it the right thing to do?) and this morning, I struggled to put a 34D MS zip up bra on. I could feel the muscles pulling beneath my chest and liquid running and my implants squishing during the struggle :/

The bras is tight against the twins but doesn't rub against my incisisions. Do you think I should wear the 34dd or 34 E instead?

I have another 34D from Asda which I wore earlier, very comfy but it didn't cover much of the twins, leaving the sticky wonky upper part out.
If I'm not mistaking, I need to force the implants in the bras to allow them to go into their pocket, right?

Am I doing every thing wrong?

I must admit, I've been very vigorous today. On my own today so no help with getting changed since I can move my arms around etc.. but I'm worried I must have caused some damage to my new babies :(

Sounds like the 34D is definately too small hun, you shouldn't be struggling at all to secure your new additions hun, they should be snug but not tight and should cover your breasts giving plenty of support and you shouldn't have to force anything hun. The reason for the support is to help the implant adhere to the pocket babe and to give your breasts lots of support whilst they are healing.

The tickling sensation you've experienced is due to your nerves healing hunni, it's all normal and you haven't caused any damage babe but don't overdo things hun, even if you feel good, do take this recovery period to rest especially in your 1st week post-op. xxx

I would think if the E still fits, you will be fine to wear it, I dont think you should force your boobs into anything. All you need is for the bra to fit snugly and give you plenty of support. If it's comfy and snug wear it, if it feels too tight or restrictive dont wear it. Ice packs are very good for swelling so yes its ok to use them.
