Hi, can anyone help me pleaseanyone had stitches that won't dissolve 476424

I am 12 weeks post op, after a BA and full uplift. I have lumpy stitch knots and small hard lumpy bits around all incisions. A couple of times bits of stitches have broken through the skin/scar lines and forced their way out, but this stopped a few weeks ago. When they did they were pure white and chalky. Now I can just feel the hard lumps underneath the skin here and there.

My question is, is there anyone else out there who has experienced this non-dissolving/hardness of stitches. Will they go eventually or what happens if they don't?

I also have one breast very slightly higher than the other and I feel my right breast is also a nicer shape than the left. Will they even up, or at this stage am I stuck with assymetrical boobs?

I'm due to have my post op review on 9th February but rather than me worrying until then, is there anyone who could help me.

Thanks.

I'm experiencing the same babe.

In regard to the stitches, I'm now just over 7 weeks post-op and they are still working their way out, some quite painful and I have a couple of stitch ulcers, but I've seen the nurse and they arent infected so no treatment required, I just have to allow them to heal naturally but watch for any sign of infection.

And about the differences in your breasts, again, I'm going through the same, I haven't seen my PS in regard to this yet but will be discussing it with him next month.

I should think you'll be just fine to wait until your appointment on the 9th sweetheart, unless you see any signs of infection, I wouldn't worry at all and you'll be able to discuss all of your concerns with your PS then. xxxx

I had the same & still had stitches & Knots & could feel them for upto 3 months after! I was told my body cant desolve stitches that well so it rejects them to the surface of my skin. I was told some peoples bodys take 2 weeks to disolve them & some people take upto a year! & like i said mine just gets rid of them.....gross! !

I now have dissolverble stitches again in my tummy where i had a hernia repair last week & im gutted as i forgot to tell them that my body rejects them & i resally wanted to have the ones you have taken out cause i always end up with infections where the Knots come to the surface...........I hate dissoverble stitches!!!!! anyone had stitches that won't dissolve 852192

Oh thankyou! thankyou! thankyou!! This is soooo helpful and reassuring guys. Truly, I thought I was a 'freak'. My body obviously does not like dissolving stitches one bit and has completely rebelled refusing point blank to dissolve anything. I haven't got, nor had any infections so thats something to be thankful for. I will live with my lumpy bits until they fade away in to the abyss, and meanwhile everyday my new boobs soften and become more my own and I think lefty will catch up with righty soon.

I just love this forum.
