Been told to massage
Hi ladies,
Well I had my first check-up with my ps today. I think some of you may know my lefty is a bit higher than righty...well he started to massage poor old lefty quite hard at the top and said I had to do the same! For 5-10 minutes a day, and I'm to go back in a month.
I have literally been treating my boobies with kid gloves since I got them, so did I have the shock of my life today or what??! I kept asking him to promise it wouldn't damage them..god knows what he must have thought of me! Just wondering, has anyone else been told to massage like this? I'd just like to feel I'm not the only one! xxx

Re: Been told to massage
I think it's normal hun, it helps the implant to drop. Don't worry, keep rubbing them! X

Don't stress about it Sam. You won't damage them, it takes a lot more than massaging to damage the implants.
Start off gentle until you get used to it then apply more pressure.

Re: Been told to massage
I'm the same hun I worry about mine all the time! If I lie on my front, I think that they are going to burst, if I exercise and they bounce about I worry that I've done long term damage!
It's natural to worry as they are still new. Plus we get so used to being really gentle with them when they are first done, it feels alien to be a bit rough with them!
When I went for my 3 month check up with my surgeon, he squeezed them really hard so I'm sure that it is fine.
Just remind yourself that it will be worth it in the end!

Re: Been told to massage
Thanks girls. Just tried to massage them a bit after my shower, it was horrible. Like you said, Jemmy, I think I'm going to have to build up the pressure gradually xx

Hi samarie!!
I was the same...scared to look never mind touch!!!
I asked my surgeon about massage? He promptly grabed them very very firmly and demonstrated how to massage, he said they are extremely robust and treat them like normal breasts
Anyway, he said it can soften the implant and scar tissue, and enable them to settle...though mine already had. Did he show you how? It is easy once you rid yourself of the fear factor!! zz
P.S. That was the only grab they have had from anyone!!

Aww mia
Yes he showed me..it shocked me how much pressure I need to use! But now it's down to me I'm thinking I'm doing it all wrong. I definitely have 'the fear factor' lol, think it will take a bit of time and practice before that goes. xxx
