lying sideways
Once everything is settled and all, if I lie down on my side, will my boobs flop naturally to my sides or will the implant sort of 'stay put' and everything else sort of move and look odd?
How long has everyone waited to lie on their side as I am a bit worried that if I did it or for too long the implant would 'move round' and stay there and I would have odd boobs Am I being daft????

Re: lying sideways
no your not being daft huni. I wait about 2weeks before lying on my side maybe abit less. they dont flop like natural boobs I'm 8weeks btw so things may still change.they sort of just stay in place. I still cant lie on my tummy though. xx

Hiya Kazzybazzy-Looking great!
when lying on my side my boobs fall slightly to the side but unlike my old natural boobs they don't flop-they keep they're roundness

Re: lying sideways
Yes mine fall to side too...not a daft question....I have just learnt it is normal too Thank You!!
I must admit it did take me sometime before I could comfortably lie on my side though...three months I think?? However, I did with a pillow under my side...I did have fully under the muscle, maybe that made a difference? You do look fantastic in your pic xxx

Re: lying sideways
Thanks everyone, I'm not a natural worrier, but would hate anything to go wrong!!
Agree with others, it's great to have someone to chuck questions at, and often they are already being answered!!
Love this site!

Re: lying sideways
When i lie on my side i have noticed that my old natural boob bit does seem to flop more than the implant. Does go a bit of a weird shape, not too noticeable, but it is like the two separate a bit. However, when i lay on my back or sit up, they go back to being a nice round shape.

Re: lying sideways
I lie on my side too and can just about lie on my front now as well (although it does feel a bit odd!) I think mine move like normal boobs but because I still wear a sports bra to bed I've not really taken much notice.

Re: lying sideways
Mine dont fall to the side really, they kind of stay put, probably because i had no tissue pre op, small implants and i had unders so they're tightly being held to my chest. So it all depends on what you started with and how big you went x
Re: lying sideways
when i lay on my side mine clevage together but stay nice and round, its very flattering i think. i was sleepin on my side VERY carefully after 2 weeks but with my arms stretched right out like a zombie

Re: lying sideways
Do you feel uncomfortable laying on you front? I always sleep on my front and would find it really difficult if i thought i couldn't do that anymore... I don't think i will go for very big implants if that would make any difference....

Re: lying sideways
My implant stays put but my natural boob falls to the side and so looks a little bit of a funny shape but much better than how they looked pre op when I laid on my side lol. I still find laying on my front uncomfortable and I am 6 months po xx

Re: lying sideways
i was able to lie on my side without any pain from about 2 weeks. I do worry that the top boob might slip past the midline... im hoping that's not possible! but you never know :/

Re: lying sideways
I only sleep on my due to my back as I end up in bad pain if I sleep on my back. So I'm hoping that I can sleep on my side soon post op!!
Re: lying sideways
^ I am dreading the sleeping on your back bit. Hoping hundreds of supporting cushions (and Mr Opal confined to the sofa) will see me through......

Re: lying sideways
it's not that bad. You don't have to be right up. I slept about 40 degrees for a week and it was actually the most comfotable position with all the soreness and swelling. The V pillow made it easier as it supports you each side so your muscles can completely relax rather than try and keep you central on the pillows :)

Re: lying sideways
I started sleeping on my side at about 3 weeks, before that it would hurt too much as my implants are so big!! lol I slept on the sofa for the first couple of weeks, it was actually much better than sleeping in my bed! Xx

Re: lying sideways
I waited 2 weeks post op to lay on my side and mine just stay put now! I'm only 5 weeks post so I don't want to risk going back on to my tummy yet!
