How did family members react Empty How did family members react

Post by jessjameson 11th May 2014, 7:40 am

Hi I'm a flat 34b at the minute in the summer we often have relatives around who just come in shorts and a top and where a bikini top underneathe. We then take are tops off and sit in the garden and get tanned. They all know I'm a 34b and there all c's and  d's so how will they react to my boob job? My daughter is 12 and don't know whether I should tell her?

I was very open about it.  I had their support.  I told my son I was having an op and it's ok but he's 9 and didn't think he should know.  My grandmother gave me 1.5k towards my op as she knows how unhappy I have been since a teenager

i've had mixed reactions from family, from supportive to very much horrified and against it, but even they finally came around to it when i was post op and saw how much happier i was.

only you know your relatives and how they might think about things like that, but ultimately it's your decision and something you are doing for yourself, so take no notice of anyone elses' opinion x

My mum & dad were really supportive and so were the 5 close friends I told. The only person who wasn't was my sister, she was gobsmacked and made me feel quite bad about the whole thing. I'd always worn padded bras so no one knew just how non existent my boobs were other than me! They all knew I'm not stupid and that I'd done my research and found a reputable surgeon etc so that put their minds at ease somewhat!!  Xxx

My mum reacted really negatively at first, but she came round to the idea before I had my BA. I think she was more upset that I hadn't told her I was unhappy about my boobs and hadn't talked to her. Everyone else has been really supportive xx

No one really reacted at all, I'd always been open about it since I was 15. I had to convince hubs, but he was just more worried about putting myself through surgery voluntarily, rather than it being a BA.

My mum and dad were both fine. I had been going on about it since I was 15 to my mum, and my dad just shrugged and he was the one who took me for the op. My daughter is 6 and is very much aware of "mummy's big boobies" but she's too young to tell x

That's an awkward age I suppose, you don't want her thinking that if she doesn't develop big boobs then she must get implants too, but it's hard to lie to that age about it. Bet you're looking forward to it now, not long to go xx

My oldest who is 15 says " you don't need one" until I take my bra off then she's thinks it's really funny. I mean I'm a small b and she's a dd. My middle daughter who is 12 thinks it's strange how her sister is bigger then me. X
