Re: 2 years after BA
i explained everything to the woman about my problems and she said that'd have to see a nurse and then if there is a problem she will book me in to see a surgeon. I also found the term and conditions about their aftercare -
Section 7c: except in situation 7b, myas normal fees will apply after 3 years from date of surgery
Section 7e: for up to 3 years after your operation, where you and your surgeon both agree that further surgery is required, mya will provide, if clinically appropriate, corrective surgery, hospital accommodation, and nursing care free of charge. However if you surgeon decides that the results of the surgical procedure fall within the acceptable normal limits of surgery, further free surgery will not be available.
Section 8 : for up to 5 years from the date of the original surgery mya will provide free of charge, if clinically appropriate, corrective surgery, hospital accommodation and replacement of implants of the same size where capsular contracture occurs x

Re: 2 years after BA
The nurse is their 'middleman' so to speak...you won't get to know too much hun other than to arrange an appointment with a surgeon after being seen by the nurse to confirm it does require you being seen a surgeon.
(One of the many reasons I don't like large clinics hun - no direct access to a surgeon)
The nurse won't be able to offer any advise re any complications at all Soozie because she simply doesn't have the qualifications or the authority to do so. But at least its a start to get the ball rolling lovely and I'm happy for you for that. Xx

So... If it IS CC hun, I hope you're feeling a little more confident now that it is covered and will get sorted.
Just to add - when you do see the nurse do lay LOTS of emphasis on your discomfort. I know that might feel like you're dramatising a little, but its important to really lay it on thick to get that referral to see the surgeon. Xx

Yeah that's fine Cookie. I didn't think i would get to see a surgeon straight away but yes, it means i'm getting a bit further than being passed around still. Also, they didn't send me all the way to london and only just down the road and the surgeon will also be there for an appointment if i do get one with him instead of London. xx

Re: 2 years after BA
Hey, I had my BA nearly 3 years ago. I'm regards to the feel of them, mine are very soft now compared to when I had them done. This has only happened in the last 6 months or so. Sometimes they feel 'fake' but sometimes they feel and look very natural as they have dropped.
In regards to numbness I still cannot feel both nipples and I was told that sensitivity may never return and this is a factor in regards to the surgery. Xx
