Two weeks is the average time to have off work..as a hairdresser your be really busy and with customers all day .. although you may feel ok after ten days, it's an individual thing so two weeks would be ideal!

For at least 6 weeks you won't be allowed to put anything in your incisions at all ... You can buy really expensive creams but bio oil is just as good and many women don't actually put anything on the scars and they still heal just the same so don't rush out to buy expensive products... The scars will fade to nothing so although it's scary it will all be worth it :) your have amazing perky breasts! Xx

Can u get get sick lines from docs when your going privately??? Taking 1 week unpaid/ one week hols don't want 2 use all my holidays want 2 go on hols later n finally feel good in a bikini lol
I have bio oil and I thought that would be ok just double checking everything lol!! Stopped smoking so I heal quicker 2 xx

That's good that you've stopped smoking because it increases the chance of infection and other risks too...
Yes bio oil will be fine and does the same job as all the other really expensive products...
Well I didn't have get a note myself but I'm pretty sure that you can get a doctors note to sign you off work and it's good because it won't say specifics of what it's for :) x

Post by IsabellExpat 11th November 2013, 11:18 am

Hi Allyx!
I had a full uplift with implants almost 2 months ago.
It's unfortunately impossible to say if you are able to go back to work in just 2 weeks after a full uplift. Some of us had had a really speedy recovery and some of us recovered a lot slower.
I didn't have any complications during my healing but I wasn't able to do much the first 3 weeks. Bexx, another girl here on the forum was able to do almost everything 2 weeks after her uplift with implants.

So I guess, if you can take 3 weeks of and ask if it's ok that you come back after 2 weeks?
I didn't go back to work until 4 weeks.
You also need to ask your surgeon how long it's ok for him that you go back to work. So you don't risk your aftercare.

Don't worry about the scars. I use silicone scar sheets but I honestly don't know why because my scars are flat and tiny.
I was really worried about the scars but the second you see your new perky ones, you don't think much about the scars. Hysterical
This surgery is so worth it but please look after yourself during your healing process!
Do NOT overdo things if you have swelling, pain, redness or any other discomfort.

(sorry about my english, I'm scandinavian)

Hiya

I'm 12 days post op with a lollipop lift and implants. The first few days are painful but after that it's ok, I had unders and I can't feel my incisions so the only pain I feel is coming from my muscle presumably where they placed my implants. I imagine the uplift takes longer to heal for arm movement but I'm not in loads of pain.

I'm going back to work on Wednesday after 2 weeks and to be honest you should be fine being a hairdresser. I would save some painkillers just in case. I managed to wash my own hair today which was amazing!

Good luck and you will soon be in the perky boob club!

That's a good idea isabell suggested booking 3 weeks off just in case. Everyone will heal differently and to be honest I think I had a pretty good recovery so far. Even though I had unders x

Thanks isabell and Lisa6246

Am so glad I came on this because I have found it so hard to find ppl that are having the same done!! I think I may take 3 weeks just 2 be on the safe side ....
I'm having mines over the muscle... Is there a difference in pain??
How sore is it on a scale of 1 to 10??
Are the scars itchy??? Sorry for all the questions xxx

Hiya I know how you feel as uplifts aren't as common. This site is fab!

Unders are supposed to hurt more as the muscle has to get used to going over the implant. The first few days were a 6 maybe but only when I got up and about, maybe a 2 when I was sitting down resting. Now it's a 2 when I'm up and about and a 0 when I'm resting. Childbirth is a 9-10 to give you an idea!

I can't really feel my incisions yet and I didn't have a full lift so I only have around the nipple and down but I'm not itchy yet but piriton is supposed to be good for itchy incisions

Ask away!

I think many agree that it isn't so much pain but discomfort... Yes incisions do get itchy! Normally around 2/3 week mark which is a good sign of healing... However it's annoying! Prition helps to stop the itching :)
Although an individual thing, unders do have more discomfort than overs normally because the muscle is cut into xx

My bruising personally wasn't too bad I was expecting it to be much worse.

I drove on Saturday 9 days post op but I have an automatic. Today was much easier driving

You shouldn't drive for at least I a week normally because the ga needs to leave your system and under insurance rules you shouldn't be driving so soon after having an op because you have drugs in your system and your not able to drive safely... It also is uncomfortable not only going over bumps but it's difficult to put the car into gear and to do things such as turn around to check your blind side x

Legally I think its 48hrs after GA that you cant drive, plus you have to be able to perform an emergancy stop. It differs girl to girl, some are find 1wk post, I didnt even attempt until 3, and that was still difficult, but circumstances differ, i.e unders/overs plus Auto/manual.

I had unders, and people say its more hard work healing wise as they are under the muscle, but its more achy/heavy feeling than actual pain.

I cant speak to an uplift, but I took 1wk holiday, plus I was lucky enough to be able to work from home for a further two to fully recover. It'll be down to you, and you may feel up to it after two weeks, but it will be exhausting, so make sure youve got painkillers and somewhere to take breaks/use a stool for cuts.

I had 560cc unders but I had literally no breast tissue
