it varies hun and is very much up to your surgeon to advise you on this.

it tends to be anything between 6 and 12 weeks that you have to wear a sportsbra for.

I'm at the long end of it all and have to wear sportsbras for 12 weeks!

long journey but its all worth it :)

Some women can go in wires straight from the first day of surgery, some 2 weeks, 4, 6 anything up to 12

Its all dependent of your individual healing. Each BA is tailored to the individual so as we're all different, we'll each be given instruction that's going to help us achieve the best result for ourselves babe.

So its usual to wear wires when the time is right for YOU babe. Xx

I have been told anytime I feel comfortable - but take the advice given by your PS, a few weeks is a drop in the ocean x

I haven't been told about anything about wires, just to wear the sports bras for 6 weeks.  I will be seeing my surgeon again at 8 weeks so will hold off.  Thanks for the replies

I have been told sports bra for 7 weeks, no wires until 3 months...I think it's weird that so many surgeons say so many different things Smike

I was in a sports bra 24/7 for 6 weeks, but as the other girrls have said it's different for everyone. Although I was allowed to wear wires at 6 weeks post op, they were so uncomfortable, I had to get my boobs used to them an hour a day and slowly build it up until it felt comfy. Some people feel comfy straight away and some don't. I slept in my sports bra every night until about 7 months post op.
