Loosing 10% under muscle Empty Loosing 10% under muscle

Post by Alanna07 24th July 2013, 10:36 am

Hi girls, I've been told that when you do the rice test you need to weigh up 10% less if the implant is going under the muscle. So if I have 400cc implant am is it going to look like a 360cc implant? Has anyone else found that there implants have turned out smaller than when they done the rice test?  Xx

The rice test is always only going to be an approximation, and do look a little bigger than the real thing. But I wouldn't worry about percentages and sizing. Your surgeon has picked the right size for you. I think one of the Mods on here had their overs switched to unders, and didn't lose any of the size, so I wouldn't worry about it too much.

In theory you may read or hear about this 10% loss but breast augmentation is not an exact science and your boobs will take on the size they're gonna want to take babe!

Our other admin here nads had partials, but suffered muscle distortion so had to change to over the muscle... Her breast size didn't change at all... So practically... No babe, its not true at all. X

Don't let size stress you out to much hun x trust your surgeon, he is the expert! But if it helps, I had partials and I'm very happy with the size! X

hi hun, i wouldnt worry about percentages, however rice boobs do look a little bigger. but maybe this is also because we're not used to the look!

i had 265 partials and do feel they look smaller than the rice  boobs, but i'm still fairly early post op so maybe it will also take a little while more for my muscles to relax and release the implant more.

if you are swaying between similar sizes then don't get too caught up in that but trust your surgeon to give you the look you want.

but any more questions do just ask away hun x
