scars are really painful again

hi all so my scars are one of my fav parts of my journey they healed quick and they are barely visable

but my left one after massaging tonight is so painful like it was a few days post op shrug

even tempted to take some strong pain killers as its so painful

ive emailed my surgeon, but he gives me a wee call on a monday at some point to see how the massaging is going

any ideas

i would lay off thr massaging for the time being can you see if its red and hot to touch? xx

It may well be just nerve sensation you're experiencing babe. There shouldn't be any problems with the actual scar itself because its healed over now. So you're doing the best thing taking pain killers and hopefully it will subside as quickly as it suddenly came on. Xx

thanks girls yeah halo my surgeon mailed me earlier or late last night never checked the tome to say have a few days break and on hol do it every other day

thanks cookie bit of a restless night last night it feels like its on fire lol but not hot to touchbxx

Do you think maybe your bra band may be irritating your scars Tink? Maybe try a panty liner cushion on it for a while and see if that helps hun. Xx

ive done that today. not much help. i did tell my surgeon when i mailed him it felt like a crunch when i was massaging then its been sore. he mailed back saying ive prob just broke down a hard bit of scar tissue but he wants me to go see his fellow collegue Ben Chew tonight for s quick check over cause im away on hol wed xx

Yes... When the scar tissue breaks down you may hear a crunch or a pop. Nothing to worry about, infact its a good thing. It means the lumpy parts if your scar are starting to break down to a nice flat scar.

You're not wasting anyone's time babe - infact when you took out after you PAID for their time lovely, so if having a surgeon come out from their leave to see you is what it takes to make use of your aftercare then so be it hun.

Don't you feel guilty for that. This is their problem which they've fixed by bringing this surgeon in from his leave and not yours lovely. Xx
