"he doesn't do uplifts"
Twice in a short space of time I've read a member say that they've been told a surgeon doesn't do uplifts (a different surgeon each time but same clinic)
I HATE how they lie like that! it really irks me that they think they can manipulate women to see who 'they' want them to see rather than allowing women their choice.
Maybe the surgeon has no openings for surgery the month the patient is looking for and so to avoid losing the patient they lie and tell them they don't do this procedure and give them a different surgeon of their choice?
Now I KNOW these surgeons DO do uplifts. I was offered one by one of the surgeons myself and flatly refused to allow him near me because he had so obvious little care for me. He was disgusting.
So now I'm asking myself... Why? Could they possibly have been doing these procedures in the past and now they're just not good enough so they won't allow them to do the procedure now?
I don't know... But what I do know is that the manipulative behaviour is wrong and I ask myself, IF clinics are employing surgeons that aren't up to these technical procedures and KNOWING they HAVE performed them in the past from this same clinic, why have the suddenly stopped? I find that personally worrying.
Please, please research ALL surgeons you see girls.
Rant over!

Oh my god, does this really happen? That is just dreadfull! Cookie is it a case of a surgeon saying 'I don't do uplifts' because they have no space that month and they pass you onto another surgeon that has spaces in the same clinic?

Re: "he doesn't do uplifts"
That's what I said above Lisa lol
But I question... Is that the real reason? It one I certainly be questioning because the patient is told "that surgeon doesn't do uplifts" not that they can't do them that month.

Re: "he doesn't do uplifts"
I'm sorry but a surgeon is a surgeon, if they're qualified in plastic surgery and are able to operate on people they should be able to preform all sort of breast surgery. It's like saying you are a chef but you can only use a microwave. I'd run a mile from the surgeon and clinic
Re: "he doesn't do uplifts"
EXACTLY! And if women are being told these surgeons don't do uplifts... Then whats the reason why? And why are they still employing them?
Re: "he doesn't do uplifts"
It is worrying how there are breast surgeons, which are the specialised BAPPS BAPRAS qualified and then there are general surgeons who can perform any surgery. Research it always the key in this instance I think.
Re: "he doesn't do uplifts"
This is extremely worrying! I'm intrigued to know why women are being told this and if its true or as you say is it their way of manipulating women to see the surgeon that isn't having many people book with them!
I do feel that these clinics need to be reported! But to whom??!
It is publicly known about bad surgery and clinics aboard but it appears that there is a BIG issue in our own country and where's the regulations? It makes me so cross that these clinics can say and do what they like! Grrr rant over!!
