How long u under?

Hi I had my consultation last year but was unable to proceed cos of money issues. But i now have the money all saved up :) so anyway i am looking to book pretty soon and remember the surgeon from my consultation saying it would take an hour - to an hour an half! Its my first ba so all will pretty straight forward and im having overs. My friend just had her consultation and got told hers would take about 45 minutes?! why is this? we are both similar in sizes and the procedure is going to be almost the same. Is it just one surgeon taking more time on his ops than the other or what? is that a good thing or bad? im a bit confused :s i dont like the idea of general anethetic anyway so the thought of being under longer than needed is making me uneasy . thanks xx

From my experience I was told they book 1 hour slots for ba's at transform and mya (companies i have consultations at) and was told it would take 45mins-1hour xx

i wonder why the surgeon i saw said up to an hour and half then? cos thats like double the time! x

Straightforward BA's are an hour, BA's with extra's like nipple lift, correcting asymmetry etc is usually an hour and a half.

i was told an hour and a half and was under nearly 2 but i dont do well under GA but im sure tge op itself took an hour xx

i was told an hour- hour and a half as well. I guess some surgeons just take a bit longer. I guess it's pretty much the same as it taking me 10 minutes to stack the fridges at work but another girl 15, different people work at different paces but it doesn't mean one is better/worse than the other x

I was told around 45 mins to an hour for the op, half hour in recovery x x

yeh the surgeon i saw must of meant overall including recovery then! and the others must of been talking about just the op itself. thanks everyone :) xx

I went down at 3, was in the pre op room for 20 mins, cane round in recovery at 5,and was back in my room for 6 xx

yeh i suppose it depends how long it takes each individual to come around! knowing my luck it will like an hour just to come around lol x

i was under for well over 2 hours, but had an uplift, and Mr Marando said he went back for a second tweak to uplift a little more and says its like cooking, no point in rushing as it may spoil the end result.

omg u had mr marando nicola?! im having my consultation with him next month and couldnt find anyone on here who has had him except for 1 who hasnt come on here in ages! how was he? are yu happy with everything so far? he offers the twilight as well done he? thanks

have emailed you Louise, he was amazing, defo recommend him. not sure what twilight is though? i had mine done in Manchester, where will you have yours?
