Back from 1st check-up
Hi girls,
Just got back from 1st check-up, everything fine but my surgeon said I need to wear an upper pole strap (which they have posted out to me as they didn't have any there). Then come back next week - he said the muscle is trying to push the implant up so it needs to be quite tight to exert enough pressure on it to push it down.
Did anyone else have a strap? And how tight do I need to do it up?
Apart from that I'm really pleased with the size / shape but worried they might go smaller when the swelling goes down. Did you all get smaller than when you were 1 week post-op? I'm wearing a 32C sports bra at mo (hurray!) and really want to stay in it!
Thank you

Re: Back from 1st check-up
I had to wear a strap for the first 3 weeks. I had it quite tight. I got used to it in the end. It got a bit sore under the armpits where it rubbed so you may need to put some sort of dressing over the edge of the strap in those place. I hope that makes sense to you.

Re: Back from 1st check-up
Glad it all went well Hun, i used my mams strap which she was given after her op for a couple of days but didnt bother much with it.
I gradually got a tiny bit smaller when the swelling went, but they must have fluffed a little recently with the implant settling, they will change a lot over the next few months hun.

I was wearing a strap for 4 weeks, its a bit uncomfortable under the armpits but didnt find it too bad apart that you could see it with tops etc. x

Re: Back from 1st check-up
Hi - I had 265 rounds and started off in a 32c sports bra. I'm 6 weeks post op and although they feel much smaller to me (think I've just got used to them!) I'm wearing a 32d in most bras now although have 2 that are a dd! They don't look it though!

Hi LMT,
Glad to hear you're pleased with your ! I can't really help with the strap thingy, but I can tell you that 3 weeks + my boobs are still fitting the 34c sports bras quite snuggly. I also had a sneaky try on of a 34D in Next yesterday and that fitted very nicely! Actually, most of my swelling was in between my boobs and around the ribcage and now that that has gone the boobs look more pronounced if anything - but it's probably still too early for me to comment as I've no doubt got loads of changes to come too.
How are you feeling in yourself? Tiredness from the GA etc gone yet?
A xx

Re: Back from 1st check-up
Hi just Pm you before I saw your thread. You are fortunate you got to see the surgeon this first time and so soon -! So quite a few girls have had this so not uncommon and easily sorted but a wee bit more time to get used them ........... at least here you can ask the girls anything all the time and so not have to phone the PS a lot of the time as they are so reassuring. You are well on the road and it gets easier and easier. I was wearing 34 B and C sportbras (they fitted exactly the same) from George from that first ten days and they still fit now so I am sure you will keep all that you have got and bee a good C bra - so exciting ...enjoy enjoy !

Re: Back from 1st check-up
Hiya
I didn't have a strap but mine didn't shrink when the swelling went down...if anything they looked bigger. I had 255s and I'm still in my 32D bras mostly, but I think I've fluffed a bit as they seem fuller - and a friend commented the other day! (She knows about my BA)
So don't worry - I'm sure you'll keep your C

Re: Back from 1st check-up
I wore a strap for 2 weeks and glad i did as it pushed the implants down nicely. After the swelling goes down (you will still have a little even with drains) you may notice them get a little smaller but they should fill out again when your muscles relax hun x
