I am asking, as mine is irritating my sore bits and i was hoping it would be ok to sleep in a support vest tonight?x

Re: Why DO we have to wear sports bra?
To support and stabilise the breasts whilst healing. Especially internally. The implants adheres to the pocket and needs to be stablalised to do so. Why not just wear a normal bra you think, again high impact sports bra to provide the right support and no underwires as to allow the breast to take on a natural shape allowing rhem ro drop and not to irratate the wounds.
It seems to be more common for 3 months to be the mark to wear normal bras, but after your 6 or 12 week check as long as you get the go ahead that's when you can wear normal bras. X

To throw a curve ball in :) ... I know that some PS don't stress the importance of a sports bra post op.. Iv seen girls who haven't had to wear them. I'm not really sure of the logic behind this tbh..

The surgeon may want the boobs to start dropping straight away thus taking away the need for support hun. It may be that their skin/muscle is particularly tight and a sports bra just wouldn't help their healing. X
