Worried about the size... Empty Worried about the size...

Post by MarieMc85 29th May 2009, 9:37 am

Dear all,

Had my bandages off 2 days ago and was very happy with the size.

Now, reading posts, I'm worried that they are going to shrink and get smaller once the swelling goes down.

I don't know how swollen I am actually. I'm normally a 32 back size but have been wearing 34's.

Also, my boobs have that shiny look.

From looking at them, they are still high up and need to drop by at least 2-3 inches for them to look in the right place.

I tried on a 32DD bra the other day which felt a tad big, but maybe that's because I'm scared to move my boobs into position in the cups incase I damage them!!!

The 34DD I'm wearing now seems like it fits ok but could be a little bit too big.

Also, they get more swollen at different parts of the day where the band feels like it's digging into me.

To summarise, I'm really worried that as I'm in a 34DD sports bra now, they'll shrink.
I wouldn't mind them being a little bit bigger actually!

Help!

Was a 32B, had 410 overs MHP.

Thanks

Marie

Hey lovely,

Any swelling will probably go down within 3-6 weeks. I can't say I noticed a dramatic drop in size, I did go down a few band sizes though.

I reckon you'll settle at a DD/E once they're fully dropped.

Swelling takes up to 6 weeks to go but like roxy said its not like a dramatic drop in size! Your boobs just drop into position and shrink (hate that word) a little. I think you will be a D/DD once they've settled x

Natalia what were you pre op? 32ff sounds huge for a 410 implant! I tried on the 450 rice boobs and came up a DD, so weird how sizers differ so much from person to person. x

i doubt they'll shrink with 410's, i reckon you'll get a good DD/E if not more, I went smaller then bigger at 5 months so they do change alot in the first year xx

Don't think they go down too much with overs. I was worried too about the shrinking but I tried on a tight baby t today and I was a bit shocked as they really stood out, especially the side cleavage and that was just with a non padded bra lol. Once you get out of the sportsbra and get into normal bras it makes a big difference xx

I'm worried about this too.. Mine were really swollen at first but 8 days since they have already soften and dropped together so much.. they are a 34DD at the minute (she thought probably an E in la senza but couldnt tell without trying a bra on which I couldn't do at the time) I love them the size I am, maybe even a bit biger if they fluff! I had 375cc anatomical overs.. and was told anatomicals tend to profect more because of the shape

I don't think overs tend to 'shrink' too much. I had 385 overs and went from a 34a to a 34f (although I was wearing a 36d sports bra for 9 weeks, so I had a pleasant surprise when I got properly measured).
