Last bit of help please girls!
Hi girls,
After my cancelled op due to 'nodules on vocal cords' being a risk of preventing anaesthesia, I saw a specialist today after a VERY stressful weel of calling various places, chasing letters, faxes, asking and pleading for help, I finally saw someone (cost £300!!!) today and I HAVENT EVEN GOT NODULES!! my vocal cords are perfect! (altho I still cant sing lol)
So I head back to transform with my letter which is more precious to me than gold, and they said the re-op date they thought I could be in with my surgeon on the 5th wasnt available, now I need my op soon due to having August off, so they have recommended Mr Mahdi. Has anyone had him?
I am driving to see him on Thursday if he will stay back after a clinic, then if all goes well I can have my op on the 3rd.
Im so happy to know I can have my op, infuriated that I could have had it in the first place, but still up in the air as to finding out which surgeon and date it will be, but it should be some time next week. Im going to swot up on Mr Mahdi so any info you girls have on him, pics (altho I know im classed as a newbie but not sure when that changes? please ignore if its not appropriate) or any stories on him would really help settle my mind.
I can see the light at the end of the tunnel! and its booby shaped! xx

Re: Last bit of help please girls!
I'm glad everything is looking better hun, athough I would be very angry with them still, I would expect compensation for having to miss your first op and the stress and inconvienince it caused, I would also be asking for money back as you had to pay out £300 for a specialist you didn't need to see and also now you have to change surgeons. I would ask for at least £500 back
Re: Last bit of help please girls!
they said they would pay for hotels that got cancelled with no refund and the other coordinator said she would try and sort the ent specialist money out, im going to see if they can book either hotels or my transport for the hassle ive had. Its been a total mess and I just want my surgery now I think the only nerves ill have once its sorted fully is in case it gets cancelled again! I wont believe its sorted until im finally being put to sleep! lol. thanks for all of your help and advice, this forum has really helped me feel better about the whole situation x
