Vitamin E Empty Vitamin E

Post by chocolatemonster 16th July 2012, 10:26 pm

Hi ladies,

I have heard and read about taking Vitamin E capsules to help with scarring and possibly helping lower the risk of CC and I think I might start taking these as I am a worrier and getting a bit paranoid of things going wrong with my new additions.

Does anyone know what 'dosage' or how many units of these you have to take? I don't really understand much about it

Any other tips about how to keep boobies in tip top condition would be great too

I'm taking Solgar liquid vitamin E which is a high dosage, five little drops on your tongue every morning. I'm taking it every day until my scars are healed on the outside then will probably go down to once every few days I think. Its 620 RDA which sounds a lot, but then berocca is 1000 RDA vit c so reckon its okay. Anything to avoid the dreaded CC!!! xx

I have taken Vit E every single day since my pip replacements because I had cc . Sainsburys sell their own capsules in 400iu so I take 3 a day obviously that totals 1200iu. I did a lot of research and the evidence that it helps prevent c c was good enough for me. I also asked my surgeon at my post op and he too said there was a bit of evidence it helps and it cant do any harm taking that dose. Hope this helps LadyV, Its good for your skin too so it will help with scars too I think xx

I've just been taking multivitamins to make sure I'm getting my RDA of everything just to cover my bases.

Didn't realise I should be taking sooo much more of vitamin E! Thanks for the tip girlies!

On my bog standard multi-vitamins it just says:
" Vitamin E - 10mg (weird symbol that looks like a fish)-TE - 100%RDA"

I don't even know what a UI is Vitamin E 683465
