Underwire Bras - are they ok? Empty Underwire Bras - are they ok?

Post by MsTeews 18th May 2009, 4:20 pm

I just bought some new normal bras as I'm thinking about just wearing the sportsbra to sleep now. The thing is its hard to find bras that didnt have underwires. Is it ok for me to wear underwire bras? I have it on now and it doesnt feel too uncomfortable. Will it be ok for my scars though?

Ive been wearing an underwire since 3 weeks po and it has had no effect on my scars what so ever, some people are recommended not too, or maybe you could try covering the scars with surgical tape to stop it rubbing, but if it feels ok then im sure you'll be fine. You know yourself if it feels uncomfortable or not, xxx

If it doesnt feel comfortable i wouldnt wear them, wait until you're ready, i could've worn them at 6 weeks but waited until they felt more settled. M&S do non-wired x

Yea, I'll think Ill have to leave it for now even though I'm just over 6 weeks. Wore the bra yesterday and my boobs feel soreish today. Guess I will have to stick with the ugly ol' sportsbra for a couple of weeks more but it was nice to get out of it for a while :(

.x. i was told not to wear any bra apart from my sports bra until my next check up which is at 6weeks & then the surgeon will apparently tell me if it's ok to start wearing normal ones or if i need to keep the sports bra longer...hoping not!!
