Need advice pocket revision
Hi girls
Im 13 weeks post op and my left boob still hasnt dropped seen the surgeon and he told me to wear the strap for another 6 weeks that was 4 weeks ago, my left boob i think i may have double bubble! so rang my pc today and ive got an app on sun and she says a may need pocket revision surgery on both breasts!! :(
i also think the are cone/pointy and really hate them at the mo! (everyones that ive seen on here are nice and round would love for mine to be like that)
ive uploaded to up to date pics on picture trail so if you girls could take a look and see if you think its double bubble on my rightie?
I know when i see the surgeon on sun i wont know what to say as i am quite shy and dont want him to fob me off so at least if you girls tell me what you think i can go in there and kind of know what im pointing out lol and put my foot down if he trys to fob me off!
Thanks! xxx

Re: Need advice pocket revision
Hi huni,
I have DB, and my surgeon refuses to correct it, I'm 12 months post-op. You can't be shy with these surgeons hun, they think they're God! You have be assertive, he'll probably tell you to wait it out. Send your photos to surgeons on-line and get their advice. There's a good website called RealSelf where you post your photos and write whats wrong, and surgeons across the world reply to your post, all for free. You'll have an idea of what to say to your PS then.
I'll take a look at your photos if you like? PM me? xx

Re: Need advice pocket revision
I no what u mean. My right one doesn't look right at all. It's softened almost as much as my left but just won't drop. When I loom at the scar it looks like It's pulling on something or for some reason its stuck?! Im thinking either some of the stitches haven't dissolved or the pocket isn't big enough n holding it in (if that makes sense).
Ive got an app with the surgeon on 5th oct. Fingers crossed it's nothing major.
Hope everything goes well at your appointment. X

Re: Need advice pocket revision
Hey Maxi,
Good luck hun, but I feel like your surgeon is already being pretty proactive if she's talking about doing a pocket revision surgery at 3 months - usually they want to wait 6 mos to 1 year!
I hope all resolves itself and you don't need more surgery - but if you do, it sounds as if your surgeon is willing to do so!
