back from gp's
she looked at the cuts said they look very neat and no infection but cothered them again
she said it was her first time EVER at seeing one and said they looked great lol ...
but she said if it was her she would take the steri-strips off ( by soaking in bath) and i also have disolvable stitches under the steri's and she could still see a few... but she said she doesnt want to advise and be at fault if that is not what the company does
she told me not to wear the patches on top of the steri-strips and that feels so nice already and has told me to keep phoning the company and ask if they want me to get the the steri-strips removed
so on a good note im not looknig infected and cuts are neat
but down side is i still cant bath / shower argh
i tell u THG better answer the phone tomorrow
x

Re: back from gp's
No, definitely don't soak them off in the bath. Most girls are advised at least 3 weeks without a full bath, as it can cause infection. Some are told not to have a bath up to 6 weeks after.
I think it's a bit too soon to remove the strips at the moment. You need to get on to THG and get an app booked, the GP's nurse can advise but you could severely compromise your aftercare if you do something they don't agree with.

Re: back from gp's
i have appointment book for thurs , and thats what gp said, not to do what she said and ring THG in morning x
Re: back from gp's
This is strange, Im with THG and they removed the dressing on mine on day 7 and I had a nipple lift and implants, there aftercare is a bit shoddy but the surgeon was ok xxx

Re: back from gp's
Hun, as u know i was the day before and with THG. When i went to my appointment they had to cut the end of the dissolvable stitches. My friend who also went with THG had the same however her stitches were redressed.
I've been told to shower but not wash my boobs ( no soap, shower gel etc)and to avoid baths, i have my next appointment it just over 2 weeks time.
I think your aftercare is shoddy and completely unacceptable, have they made u an appointment yet????
Glad your healing well.

That's disgraceful, it really is babe, you paid for 'private care, inclusive of aftercare' and you should expect to have no less, I'd be inclined to complain about that advice, I really would sweetheart, your GP is not an expert in 'cosmetic procedures, your surgeon, the one who's services you paid for is! and as Roxt quite rightly said, if you follow advice from anyone other than your surgeon that may result in a complication, this could very well compromise your aftercare. xx
Re: back from gp's
ye hun i am complaining what with them changing the hospital to have the op one week before, the fact my pcc lied and told me that there wasnt a direct address i could complain to and now this, and also about my mum getting the petrol back was explained fully ( although she will get it back its gunna be flaffing around) im just going to wait for my 6 weeks post op check incase they decide to do anything else that i think its unfair! ive written down everything so far so when my friends right the letter of complaint its all written down ( thought this best as dont want to forget things) dreading going to see them on thursday as i dont want to see my pcc .. feel like they grabbed my money and once they had it the service has gone down hill :( x
Re: back from gp's
Sadly this is a story we hear time and time again here
Be sure you note dates, times and who you spoke to, the more detail you add the better your complaint will stand hunni. xx
