Is there something wrong with my right one? Empty Is there something wrong with my right one?

Post by Tracyd 14th June 2011, 7:36 am

Hi

I had both my implants replaced due to the right one rupturing on the 3rd June 2011 so only in my second week of recovery. I was told not to do much at all and to lift my arms no higher than my elbow height. Which I have kind of been naughty and have been tidying in our flat, washing up and lifting my arms a bit more than I should.
Today I had a shower and my left implant seems fine but my right one seems a little bit more swollen and when I push the skin on the top it feels bruised but the other one doesnt. Is this ok? is one just healing a bit quicker than the other? im really worried now.

I am going for a check up this Friday, think I should stop doing so much. Do you all have to keep your arms down or were you all told you could move them about as normal?

Thanks

Tracy

Hi Hun

I'm sure everything is ok. My right one is doing weird things and I've had strange pains shooting through it on occassions. I think if you are right handed the muscle is different to the left so it will settle at different rates. You have an appointment Friday so just bring it to their attention and I'm sure they will be able to put your mind at rest xxx

Hey Tracy. I am having totally different recovery in each breast! Left one is more painful and uncomfortable. Right one is a dream. Try and not worry. Take it as easy as you can and then discuss at check up on Friday. I am sure you are ok. X

How mad you asked this as my right boob is in agony too. It's bruised and swollen and feels so sore to touch. The left boob is fine tho.

I had my follow up appointment yesterday and he said wounds were healing fine and that i was ok to start washing my hair, walking on
The treadmill etc. Then I come home, do the ironing and now my right one is sooooo painful :-( he never Said not to raise my arms to me tho, but every surgeon is different is suppose..

Try not to worry hunny, a few of us have one more painful then the other xx

Stop over doing it and stop lifting your arms as you will only make your recovery harder. Your right has obviously had more work done during the op due to the rupture. For your new boobs stop tidying. It's hard but worth it in the end.
