How much cc gave you a cup size?

I thought this thread might help ladies who are debating cc.

Before size: 30AA
After size: 30FF (at the moment)
Implants: 375 extra high profile unders
How many cup size increase: 8 cup sizes
How much cc makes a cup size: (375/8=) 47.5cc

This is obviously not definate for everyone but hope that helps some ladies. xx

I found a link a while back that basically says it's got a lot to do with your ribcage measurement.
Basically, the smaller the back size the less cc's you need to go up a cup size.

It'll be really interesting to see what everyone posts up though Flowergirl, good post!

I'm still early days, but so far:

Before size: 30C
After size: 30E (at the moment)
Implants: 295 high profile overs
How many cup size increase: 3 cup sizes
How much cc makes a cup size: 100cc


However, going by the guesstimate from the site I found I may end up a 30F/FF, we'll see in time I suppose. Can't wait to see what everyone else posts

Started 32a had 410cc went up 6 cup sizes to 32ff making it 68cc per cup size.

So for me this is a total guesstimate as well since I used to wear a lot of padded bras

I was wearing a 34C padded bra, so I'm guessing I would have been a 34B

before size : 34B
after size : 34D
implants : 280g med profile partial unders
How many cup size increase : 2
How much cc makes a cup : 140

I should have put in ribcage measurement too...
Mine is 26.5".
Ribcage is a definate factor in the end size as cup sizes are proportinate to the band size. Thanks for reminding me! x

Does that not make you a 28 band Flowergirl?

I think (off the top of my head) it was:

Under 30 = 50cc per cup size
32in = 75cc per cup size
34 = 100-125cc per cup size
36+ = 150+cc per cup size

not neccesarily Gabby, I have a band measurement of 29.5 and I wear a 34 band..and that was a proper fitting :) it all depends on the make of the bra

I was wearing 32, but actually I was a 30 (28-29 rib). 30 felt too tight at first but I did get used to it.

Also not sure if D-DD is half a cup size or a full one but counted it as one x

By overbust do you mean across the fullest part? That would be 34". Technically this would make me a 30D but I was popping out of the 30F so I just presumed it was wrong cos my boobs still haven't dropped yet, being only 5 weeks PO x

that is interesting, I always wondered if everyone measured the same that way...cause I was always told that if you take your rib measurement and add 4 and round up, or your over bust measurement and it should result about the same

what's the diff in those two measurements for you ladies ??

Abbie (on here) advised me to get fitted rather than measure the old way of adding 4/5 in to get the band size.
I did, by some lovely girls at La Senza (who had both had BA's :D) and they confirmed that adding the 4/5 inches doesn't result in a good fit. They started off by giving me a 32 b (as that's what I'd been wearing) and then gave me a 30C and a 30 D, but in different styles. They were really snug and I felt they were uncomfortable, but I was assured that I wouldn't be getting enough support from the 32 and should be wearing a 30.

They were right, for me anyway.

I completly agree with you Gabby, getting fitted is ultimatly the best way to find your right size..the at home measuring only works for some people not all :)

the old way to measure was above the bust (under armpit) and the fullest part of you breast.lol!! but tomato tomata

lol. You just measure under the bust, and thats your band size. If necessary add one inch to round up to the nearest even number, so if youre 29 or 30 inches under the bust, youre a 30 band. If youre 31 or 32 inches under youre a 32 band, etc etc.
Then you measure the fullest part - usually around the nipple. Sometimes this is best to do it with a non padded bra on, sometimes not.
You then subtract the band measurement from this measurement.
If the difference is 1 inch, youre an A cup. If its 2 inches a B cup. 3 inches a C cup etc etc
going A,B,C,D,DD,E, F,FF,G etc

In my experience this gives a fairly good indication of your bra size, although this might vary from bra to bra so it is best to either get fitted into each bra if possible, or to at least know what is a proper fit. It will probably be slightly tighter than you might be used to, but thats not a bad thing. it gives extra support.
That way of measuring gives you a good clue of what sort of sizes to take into the changing room though.
For instance im a 30F, but i always take 30E,30F,30FF and 32E and32F into the changing room when trying new bras.

Ok so I am way lost here so my boobie girls you will have to give me a hand.

I measure 31around my ribs and 35 1/2 around nipples, it support bra, so what size does that make me at the mo? I know I will change loads but it would be good to know if I need larger/smaller support bra xxxx

I think we've proven here that there is no way to measure at home.lol!!
you can try the old way (which works for me) or the other way which works for other ladies and still be confused.lol..just go in and get a proper fitting
The last fitting I went to she didn't even measure me, I told her what I thought I was and she grabbed me one and just adjusted the straps and told me to go up one cup size and voila ! perfection :)

and from the info I have for larger breasted woman measurement becomes more inaccurate x
