Odd healing mark.... Opinion please?
Hey Girls,
So I am currently 4 days post op. I have a small, rough spot beside my areola that is about a centimetre diametre. It doesn't appear to be full of puss or anything but it's just different than any where else on my new friends.
I have been taking my medication to void infections & also put hydrogen peroxide (recommended from my nurse) on my areas where I have stitches. I just need some reassurance here. Should I be calling my doctor and moving my appointment sooner than this Friday?
Thanks for your input. I really appreciate it.
xoxo

I wouldn't worry unduly about it at this stage sweetheart - might be a slight reaction to the hydrogen peroxide that will clear up on it's own. I tend to get small rough patches of skin any way and a bit of moisturising lotion generally clears it up after a few days. GA's can have odd effects on the skin too. Just mention it to your nurse at your appointment - if everything has closed up by then I am sure you will be OK to start moisturising them at that point - but always ask first.

What would I do without you! You're so calm and always know just what to say. I appreciate it.

Hye lovely,
Just ensure you follow all your aftercare procedures as outlined by your surgeon and nurse. Doing anything other than that can void your aftercare.
I'm sure it's nothing, you're taking antibiotics so chances of infection are extremely slim, it's probably where your skin has stretched.
I actually vaguely remember another girl having a similar problem, where her skin was peeling because it was fairly firm before the op. If it continues make your surgeon aware of it in your check up.
