Ladies with Overs
Hi ladies, I am 7 days post op, can I talk to ladies who have overs. I am a mum and lost all fullness with breast feeding. My Doctor gave me 435 cc over high profile I knew they would be bigger but OMG they are HUGE. I understand the swelling etc but will they look more normal? I'm loving them but feel like I need to be in hiding for a while.
Would love to hear your thoughts !

Re: Ladies with Overs
Moved your post to the breast aug section hun as you'll get a better response in here from everyone.
Your boobs are very early in their recovery hun and still have soooooooooooo many changes ahead, they do settle over time though and will look so much better than they do now.
Have a look at this thread [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] hun about how the breasts will change, give the pic a moment to load though as it often takes a bit to appear. You may also find this thread [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] helpful too, take a look at the 'Frankeinboob' section. xx

Re: Ladies with Overs
Hi Kelly
Yes i felt fine 2 days after op, didn't do so well with anasthetic though but I don't do well with any meds just bad nausea & thank god I took a bucket for the drive home.
A few shooting pains and very tender, mostly on the right side but have been able to blowdry my hair and have a shower. I am really glad i did it but they are bigger than I thought they looked with the implants under a top at the Doctors office.
Would love to talk to you more if you wnat to ask anything else.

Hi and thanks for the welcome. Biggish I know but I am a big girl you look lovely and slim and I have very broad shoulders (ex swimmer) so I guess the PS knows what i needed. I needed to fill out the top and have certainly done that. Hubby is more than impressed.

Re: Ladies with Overs
Hi hun I had 410cc overs and they do take a little while to settle but they will drop down and feel more natural don't worry
Re: Ladies with Overs
Hi there
I went from flat to a 34c with 270cc overs. I remember thinking they were huge but they seemed to get much smaller after about a week so I'm sure yours will go down a bit very soon once all the swelling disappears. Going from nothing to having boobies takes a while to get used to to, hopefully you will get used to them and love them!!
Happy healing

Re: Ladies with Overs
Hi misf1,
Can I ask if the photo you have there is soon after your op or more current so I can have a guess at time frame for them to drop down a bit.
thanks K

I'm sorry hun this photo is recent, about a year post op. I found mine started to drop after 6 weeks, but it did take a while for them to fully drop.

Misf1,
A year OK they look great! Can i ask if it takes that long for them to get softer and more natural because obviously mine a like boulders at the moment. Can I also ask when you can take to surgical bra off and wear a normal sports bra. I put one on to sleep last night and it felt so much better but am wearning the surgical one during the day. It is just so tight around the rib area and my stitches.
Thanks for your help with my questions.

I think mine stated to soften at 6 weeks, felt a lot softer by 4 months and by 7 months were like real boobs (a little firmer). If the bra you are wearing is very tight around your ribs it may be that it is too small due to swelling, it may be worth getting a bigger band size in the surgical bras if you have to wear them. I'd check with your PS or clinic to see if they advise you that you can wear sports bras as well as the surgical one.
Re: Ladies with Overs
Hi and congrats on your new boobs. My overs settled very quickly, within a few weeks. I also started to wear normal bras from 2 weeks, I just couldnt wait and my surgeon was very relaxed about the whole thing. Got measured at 6 weeks. Glad you're happy with your size! Take it easy now and heal well! x

Hi thanks for the good wishes. My recovery has been super so far today is 13 days and aside from the stitches on my right boob really feeling raised and tight (they are not in the crease about 1 cm above) everything else has been good. I think they have dropped a bit already they look rounder and not so high and I am very happy with the shape etc.
I went and bought a very pretty maternity bra of all things as I didn't want underwire and the lady next to me was with her husband and I'm sure he was wondering where my baby was and why his wifes boobs didn't look like mine lol.
