Implant cards
I didn't get one of these... I asked the last nurse to see me before I was discharged and she said that they do usually give paitents something but that if I hadn't been given it already she didn't know where to look for it... wasn't very helpful.
I'm going to call MyBreast but just wondered whether you girls got yours in the post, on the day of surgery, etc?
Thanks
BP

Re: Implant cards
My PS gave me mine when he came to see me the morning after the surgery (although where it is now is anyones guess!) Give MB a ring. The cards have two stickers on them - one goes on your medical record and the other is given to you.

Re: Implant cards
I got two pink cards about the same size as a compliments slip from the nurse on discharge. She said they were hidden in the ntes so could easily have been missed. She wrote all the details on them and they have to be posted to Nagor - when I presume I will get sent my proper cards? I will see if there is a number on there later and call them and ask what we should do.
Will get back to ou xx

Re: Implant cards
Thanks girlies. I spoke to MB today and they said I'd get it in the post up to 6-8 weeks after my surgery. I'll stop checking the post frantically every day now then lol

Re: Implant cards
I had mine in my booklet when I was discharged. I'm sure I remember one of the girls on here having abit of a fuss with the hospital about her implant cards a while ago. I think she did get it in the end though. x

Re: Implant cards
That was Mizzpink PB, like you said she got it in the end thou.
I'm slightly worried now, I don't have mine, I also went with MB. I asked my ps at my 7 day check up and he said it was safer in my file and I didn't really need it!? It's strange how even the same company operates differently.
Wondering whether I should ring up and ask for it...

I would hun, because if MB go under then what proof do you have for yourself if the docs are in your file? The guarntee card should be for paitents plus it gives you the lot number in case theres a recall it'll be good to check this! Best safe than sorry IMO
When I called a lady called Charlotte said it'd be with me max 8 weeks post op you're more than 8 weeks so I'd call if I were you and find out when to expect them, we all know they're not brilliant admin wise

Re: Implant cards
Hi Funkygirl.
I noticed you had Nagor implants. I did too. All Nagor implants have a lifetime guarentee for rupures and sever cc etc. The card is important it has the specification of each implant printed on it and its your proof that you have Nagor implants. Without the card whos to say what you have inside of you ? In the future if your implant ruptures (I hope it wnt) and you decide to go with a different PS to fix it, you need your card to claim your implants for free under the warrenty . I would request the card immediatly. xxx
