1year check up

I'm coming up to a year post op and I was just wondering particaully those of you who had your ba with mya, if they contact you about your 1 year check up or do you need to ring them to make an appointment?

I keep meaning to ring transform to book mine, but I keep forgetting, when I seen my surgeon at 3 months he said to ring up and make appointments.

Oooh was I supposed to contact Transform about my one year check up?
I'm sure I was told that unless I had any problems, I didn't need to go back.

Well when I went for my 3 month check up my surgeon said to go and see him every 6 months or year depending on how I was doing and if I had any problems to just make an appointment. I guess they just want to check on healing and whether you are getting cc etc

Hi misf1

Did you see Mr Chantarasak at 6 months and a year? I think I only saw him at 9 weeks post op. I've not had any problems, but think now maybe I should just get him to check me over just to make sure.

I seen him at 3 months but now since then, I think I'll just go once a year for them to be squeezed lol. He might even say not to bother coming back if they are fine. I'll give Transform a ring tomorrow and see if I can get an appointment

I saw my surgeon on Friday for 6wk check up and thats it, dont have to go back unless i've any problems. xx

i didnt go to my 1 year check bcause mr.singh gave me his card if i had any probs and i didnt

I'm going tomorrow and I'm nearly 8 months, my surgeon said that this is my last check up xx

With Mybreast I just got a 6 month check, and then if you need to go again you can ring and get an appointment. I had to ring to book mine though, it wasn't done automatically, I'd ring MYA to check hun xx

I havnt had any problems but I might just ring mya and see what they say. I dont really feel like I need to see them though. xx

I was told by my surgeon that unless I had any probs I didn't need to see him again? My last check up was about 8-9 weeks? xx

Oh god this is worrying me now too, my ps said to me at my last appointment that I didn't need to see him now unless I had any problems, my mum made me make an appointment thou for the 3 month mark (which is this month) but since I'm doing fine I cancelled my appointment a few days ago!

After reading this thread, maybe I should reinstate my appointment?!

I got a letter from MB at 6 months reminding me to make an appointment..... I forgot!!! I've just had my 12 month check at which my surgeon said he was more that happy for me to pop back every year and say hello but unless I had a specific problem he didn't need to see me. I think I'll probably still pop back each year!!
