FLUID LEAKING FROM INCISION LINE
Hey everyone I NEED YOUR HELP.
I am 2 weeks post op today. After having my stitches removed I was told by my sergion to wear steri strips for the next 4 weeks. I am to change them once a week. Well I have just changed them now and I have a bit of fluid coming from the incision. Its not much, but part of my incision line looks realy raw. Has anyone experienced this because i am now worrying that my cuts are opening.
Thanks ladies
Jodi

Re: FLUID LEAKING FROM INCISION LINE
If it's only a little bit, I wouldn't worry Jodi, Just make sure after showering you thoroughly dry your incisions, use a cool hairdryer and gently blow on them till they are dry and don't use anything on them, try and get a bit of air to the scars everyday as well as this will encourage the healing, if your bra's are irritating your scars at all, try to create a cushion of cotton wool wadding or some use a sanitary towel between skin and bra until the irritation subsides.
If you're very worried though as Ali said a little call to the clinic won't hurt babe. xxx
