good luck for the 28th
do you know what your BDW is? that seems like the most important place to be starting if you want a good outcome.
it certainly seemed to me from the countless hours of looking at before and afters on PS's web sites that the ones that looked the best whether or not you were going for the natural or fake look was they had right width sitting on the chest wall. i feel sorry for women who get above 6ft tall as their options considerably narrow due to their larger BDW.
maybe someone on the forum has similar stats to you and you could talk to them to see how they went.
sounds like you need more consultation with your surgeon though and some more fittings.
my PS has agreed to take two sizes into surgery for me but at the end of the day they are one size away from each other and not CUP size but in cc on the implant list. he says that the difference in the the two that he will take in, to most people would be not be perceptable

Maybe im being thick but whats BDW again??? Xxx

Re: July Buddies!
hi girls
Yippee
Its july, did i say yippee .... YIPPEE
Good luck all july girls, here we come!
littlewisher - BDW is Breast Width Diameter, the width across your breast plate where your breast sits. The bigger or wider your rip cage the wider your BDW will be. you can always tell a girl whose surgeon didn't match her BDW correctly because their breast look like little balls on their chest and usually have far too much gap between the breast.
the implants basically start from the BDW, if your surgeon decideds your BDW is 12.5cm for instance you will then be able to look at all the different manufactures and see all the different implant sizes that will fit that BDW.
I hope I am not rambling here and boring everyone but if it only helps one fellow future BA girl then it is worth it.
The issue then becomes what implant company does your surgeon use as they usually just have one that they favour and are willing to offer you. So if this is the case and you have decided to go for a textured round implant ... all of a sudden you are down to maybe 2-4 implants ... not the hundreds spoken of on web sites.
Example
My surgeon prefers Natrelle Inspira and my BDW is 12.5cm. If i want textured round then these are the choices
Low Projection with 2.5cm projection and 230cc
Full Projection with 5.1cm projection and 385cc
Moderate Projection with 4.2cm projection and 345cc
Xtra Full Projection with 6.2cm projection and 470cc
Now in this case i am actually probably going to be using the 470cc, now also keep in mind that some PS will only go upto your measured BDW and other are willing to go slightly over and others want to stick under, that is something you will have to sort with your PS.
However here are some other implants that I/you could choose if your PS would allow you to, that are 12.5cm BDW but could ultimately give you a completely different look and feel in the 12.5cm BDW range.
Eurosilicone
Low Profile 12.5 BDW 3.3cm Proj and 280cc
Medium Profile 12.4cm BDW 3.9cm Proj and 300cc
High Profile 12.5 BDW 5.3cm Proj and 450cc
Extra High Profile 12.5cm BDW 6.4cm Proj and 550cc
Now look at that difference in the Extra high profile ... I am using the Natrelle Inspira in which the only difference is that it is 2mm less projection and yet 80cc less volume. This is one of the implants samples that my DH got directly from the wholesaler and they were completely different in feel and even more so in look even though they were almost idential in dimension.
There are many others that I researched but hopefully this will give some girls ideas of the research they can do to make sure they are getting the result they are after.
I know we have to trust our PS at the end of the day but remember NO-ONE has as much vested interest in how you look the other side of a BA as you do, so dont leave it all up to someone else, make sure you take some responsibility and I am sure you will end up with better result.
Well i will have to put up or shut up after my BA wont I. With the help of my DH we did a lot of research on this subject. In fact my PS made the comment he couldn't believe how much my DH knew and in the end was asking my DH about sizes. So I will difinately have to post picture of before and after of my BA and really hope all our research pays off.
Hope this helps someone just starting out.
All my well wishes for my fellow July girls, I have a really busy next week and a half so hopefully that will keep my mind off it a little and make the 12th come quicker.

Re: July Buddies!
thanks for the reply AAnomore.
He measured me at 11cm and 11.5cm, i think i am quite narrow for my height. he was looking at natrele inspira 240cc moderate profile. But all of that doesnt mean much to me lol

Hey Daisy I seen your reply about our surgeon. Put my mind at ease as I heard mixed reports (although mostly good) but it does just take one bad one to make you worried. As you say though everyone has different opinions and expectations for the outcome of their surgery. Must say he was very nice and helpful. I'm back on Monday night for my pre op check.
Glad we have early appointments. Get the nail biting over and done with sooner rather than later!
Oh do you mind me asking what size you are and what you hope to be. I'm still unsure about what size i want to use and keep hearing different outcomes.

Re: July Buddies!
Hey Blyth1 - I showed Ottaviani a picture of the size & shape I would like (I know it wouldn't look exact) I don't want anything bigger than DD - he suggested 380cc & unders. The rice test didn't help me much BUT then reading some of the other ladies stories, they all wish they had gone a little bigger. I asked Diana if they had a stock pile of implants, so that on the big day if I was to change my mind I could. There is just way to much to consider!!!
Did he suggest any specific cc to you then?
