Post by punkkitty 18th May 2010, 2:44 pm

Hey just joined this forum, im sure you have questions like this already but......

I had my surgery just over a week ago so im starting to feel a bit better and able to move a little more :)
but my boobs are still fairly solid... does this go away? if so how long? because at the moment they actually DO look fake and i was hoping for a more natural look :( oo and they are a little pointy LOL... will this go?

also, lost a little feeling in the bottom of each, im guessing this is normal i think ive heard about this happening? how long will it take feeling to come back?

thanksssss x

Hi! Welcome to BJSF and congrats on your surgery!

but my boobs are still fairly solid... does this go away? if so how
long?
Yeps, it does go away. Your boobs will take about three months to get softer, then a year or so after that. Mine took about a year and a half to get fully soft, even my OH noticed they're still getting softer. because at the moment they actually DO look fake and i was hoping
for a more natural look :( oo and they are a little pointy LOL... will
this go?
The pointiness will go away too, did you have full unders, partials or overs? I only ask as those who have surgery under the muscle say it takes longer to heal than those who have them over the muscle.

also, lost a little feeling in the bottom of each, im
guessing this is normal i think ive heard about this happening? how long
will it take feeling to come back?
Losing feeling in part of the breast is common, and it's a 50/50 chance as to whether you'll get feeling back. Most women who don't regain feeling don't really mind. It's a small price to pay for nice boobs. Over the course of the next year you'll get sharp pains and twinges in them, this is the nerves knitting back together. It'll take a year or two to determine just how much feeling you'll get back.

At the moment punkkitty due to the tightness of your skin your implants are being forced upward which is what gives you the odd shape to your boobs and making them appear false, as you skin starts to relax and your breasts settle into the pocket from around 4- 6 weeks in general you'll see a noticeable difference and they'll then start to appear much more natural but still have so many changes ahead including softening which starts to happen generally after the boobs have settled and over time they do get softer hunni. xx

Its all normal hunny. Your boobs will drop and soften over the coming weeks.

I still dont have 100% feeling in mine and I'm coming up to a year in july, Im hoping that over time it will return but if not then my boobies are worth not having 100% feeling. x

Hello PunkKitty,

I had mine done last Tuesday. I went to see my surgeon today with pretty much the same questions as you are aking. Its all normal. Mine are quite hard still but I can feel them softening. Mine look like barbie doll boobs, I think that probably how your look too after surgery. My sergeon said this is normal and they will begin to look natural as the weeks go by. To be honest I like them the way they are now :)).

My boobs are numb at the bottom too. This is normal once again :)) Happy healing:)))).
