When is it safe to sleep laying down?
I get so uncomfortable sleeping sat up! I just wondered how long everyone took to be able to start laying down in bed? I'm scared to at the moment just in case I can't get back up or it somehow damages my boobs but I don't know how much longer I can sleep upright!

I have been told 7-10 days to help with the swellings, think everyones different though hun.
I will be 14 days tomorrow, still sleeping with about 10 pillows trying to prop me up, normally slide right down though lol. This morning I woke up on my side ! Wasn't sore either :D x

You don't have to sleep 'sat up' at all hun, just ensure your head and shoulders are raised and you'll be fine hun, the 7-10 day guidance printeral suggested is about right then just listen to your body and see how you go with changing your sleeping position to on your side if you want or just laying flat, if you're uncomfortable at all, then go back to being propped up a little again for a little while longer... some ladies do take longer till they're sleeping normally, but we all heal at different times, so just listen to your own body. xxx

Re: When is it safe to sleep laying down?
I was told that I could sleep laying down after my first check up which was 8 days post op.
I found sleeping on the sofa more comfortable than the bed as I couldn't roll over onto my side without falling off!

Thanks for the replies, I think I will keep sleeping propped up for now until my check up and then ask what they say about laying down a bit flatter. x
