Random pain :(
Hi girls
Am 8 weeks post op , and since about the six week mark have had no major pain at all.
This week I have had a harsh shooting pain in the boob with the bigger implant in (385cc)
Is this normal at 8 weeks?
The area feels sore as well. It is the side of my boob by my armpit.
Could just be where I been wearing under-wire now?
When did your girls pain completely stop amnd is my pain normal?
Thanks everyone:)

Re: Random pain :(
8 weeks is still pretty early on and I would imagine the pains are where the nerve endings are knitting back together. Its all part of the healing process so I wouldn't worry too much. xx

Re: Random pain :(
I still had the odd shooting pains at 9 months post op, so it's pretty normal at your stage now. It's just the nerves knotting back together. I found it comes and goes, some weeks you get some, and others you dont.
Re: Random pain :(
Your still relatively early post op hun,Im past 12 months now and just this morning i had an odd shooting type pain,I agree with missF,it nerves knitting back together and just your body doing its job.Try not to worry, all will be fine x

Re: Random pain :(
I don't think it's CC sweetheart, I think as the ladies have said, it's just normal healing pains, I still have them too and just as you describe and I'm almost 6 months post-op.
Take a look at this which explains CC hun -

What is capsular contracture?
When breast implants, or any other foreign object, are placed in the body, the body forms a lining around it. This lining, or capsule, is formed by your own living tissue. Many people refer to this lining as the "capsule", "tissue capsule", or "scar capsule", although it is not exactly the same thing as scar tissue. This is the body's natural response to a foreign object.
Capsule contracture, the most common complication of breast augmentation surgery, can happen at any time, but seems to be more common in the first several months after surgery. At the time of the initial surgery, a pocket is made for the implant.
During the healing process, a capsule forms, which is comprised of fibrous tissue. The body is genetically programmed to shrink scar tissue somewhat. Under normal conditions, the pocket remains open, thus allowing the implant to look and feel natural. However, in some people, the capsule will tighten, and squeeze the implant. This makes the breast implant feel hard, and distorts the appearance of the breast. In the later stages, the implant feels very firm, and may take on a "ball-like" look. It is important to remember that it is not the implant that has hardened. The shrinking of the capsule compresses the implant, causing it to feel firm/hard. However, once the implant is removed, it is just as soft as it was the day it was inserted.

I agree I think it's pretty normal to be having such healing pains at this stage, I too still get the odd shooting pain now and again. It's all part of the healing process hun x x
