Does anyone know whether it is usual for surgeons to use that orange stuff that they rub over you before surgery? I think it's iodine but not sure? Cos If you aren't allowed to shower for a while surely you would wake up with the residue orange marks near your incisions?

yeah i was covered in the stuff it was all over my bra too, the next day i sponged myself with water and it came off (not the incisions). i did have it on my incisions until i showered though.

I think it's called betadine and it prevents topical skin infections. I think they wipe it off after surgery though.

My upper body looked like one of the Simpsons! LOL I sponged most of it off but with having an uplift my boobs stayed more or less yellow until I was able to wash them. xxx

Sounds gross to have it all over you, I bet it smells really surgical as well! Lol, that's funny cookie, one of the Simpsons! I hope it comes off fairly easily, I'm dreading waking up and seeing my body looking like that!

All mine was off by the time I woke up.. most of the pen was off too. In the morning I had 420 and 390 written on my chest but my surgeon asked a nurse to clean it off before I went home.
