Savlon Dry (Iodine)
I've noticed a lot of girls, on SoFem at least, use this dry antiseptic spray on their incisions. However, it says on the can "do not use on clean surgical wounds". So, what's the deal here?? Did you check with your surgeon/nurse before using it??

Isn't Iodine for open wonds? I sliced my finger when I was a child and had to use it to help it heal as well as TCB *ouch*

I've read that on sofem too, i think the girl with the infection had to use it on her incisions

Betadine... Gel form Iodine is what i had to use (and still am) on my open scar, my surgeon & GP said the dry Savlon type was not suitable for use on mine.

Re: Savlon Dry (Iodine)
Never had to use anything on my scars, I just left them alone and they've healed nicely.
Re: Savlon Dry (Iodine)
I was lucky to have healthy scars, I did put savlon cream, normal stuff just on my scars when strips came off BUT I must add they were in good shape, no wounds, no left in stitches or anything..
if they ahd I would have got my raggy backside to my surgeon immediately!
good luck hope all goes ok, must be careful with those medications tho, cos they may kill bacteria but they can also impede healing.... so professional advice be best..
