Back in the game ...
As a few of you will know I was due to have my BA back in February but decided to postpone it for a while. Mainly because I wasn't sure my reasons were fully justified and I got scared with the recession! (and I also got a bit **naughty word** off with my MyBreast co-ordinator, but that was a pretty minor issue really)
So some of my worries were: will it really improve my confidence? Isn't it an insult to my parents (so glad I wasn't the only one who was thinking this!!)? Who the hell am I doing this, this is for movie stars not 42 year olds ... etc etc etc.
Anyway, having postponed the op, I found that I STILL really really wanted to do it!!
So today I have re-booked (May 12th, Stephen Hamilton My Breast) And this time I feel genuinely excited and certain that I'm doing the right thing FOR ME. (I also have a new co-ordinator at MyBreast, Sam, who is much more organised and on the ball!!)
So thanks girls for letting me browse on here quitely for the last few months. Reading your stories and seeing pics has helped tremendously!

Thanks Ladies!
Yes, I think actually taking some extra time was right for me. When I'd postponed I did feel a wave of disappointment and, like you Amanda, it still carried on playing on my mind. Anyway, as I'm going to Hong Kong soon (for a month) I decided to book it for when I got back and got over the jetlag!

Thanks hun - really looking forward to it this time around - maybe because the spring's coming too? :) The day I'd booked for my original op was when all that dreadful snow came in (so the surgeon may well have cancelled it anyway!)

Yaaaaaaaay!
Congratulations hun! I think you were very sensible to wait until you were sure, as it's such a big thing to go.
Not long until new boobies for you then!

Really pleased for you hun, we women spend so much of our lives worrying about everyone else in the family that we tend to feel bad when we want something major for ourselves but what you have to remember is we deserve to feel good too, we deserve something that will make us feel happier in our life in general so i'm glad you're taking the plunge and going for it, i'm sure you will be so glad you did it when you've got your new summer boobies!!

Re: Back in the game ...
Hello Annie66
Well those gut feelings are often best!! sometimes as women we seek out reasons not to do something that feels right for us, even when we have done our research. I know I did exactly this, I first went for a consultation 25years ago - and that was after a few years of building up the courage anyway I finally took the plunge late last year and am over the moon with the new me!! Have a great holiday and look forward to your new . I look forward to following your journey.

Thanks Nads and Maria - yes, will do. However, given that I am now completely obsessed with all boobie-related things, I'll probably still be browsing on here at strange hours of the day and night (they're 8 hours ahead of GMT)nads wrote:Yes have a lovely time Annie xxxmariajw wrote: and enjoy your trip to Hong Kong!!

Thanks SS, you're right, it's odd the way I felt really selfish about doing it (even though I was paying for it with my own money!). But when I had my time out to think about it, I realised that I just didn't want to go through the rest of my days with two little drained PG tips triangle teabags for boobs, when there was an alternative choice available!
