hmmmm.....
hi girlies!
hope your all well.
if you have read my previous posts (god bless your hearts if you have and had to endure my endless rambling lol! its not a great trait of mine) you will know that my GP sent my refferel (spelling?!) off on the 8th of june, not that im counting or anything....but its been 28days now without hearing anything . i think it may have to ring my GP tommorow? but i dont wanna sound like some kind of pushy patient, but i really dont wanna be forgotton about. what do you suggest i do? i mean i could just wait another week, but then again if i do, and my notes have somehow got 'missplaced' (ie ended up in the recycle bin!) then im really setting myself back-sorry this kinda sounds like a one way convo with myself!
any suggestions would be greatly recieved! im going a bit stir crazy here, and its a mad rush to the letter box each day just to see if theres a letter, and (this is rather embaressing) i have actually not realised the post man still had the post in his hand pushing it through the letter box and snatched it-TWICE! he must think im some kind of nut case!
xx

Re: hmmmm.....
Aw hun, I think it's going to be a bit of a waiting game, but once you get the date trough it shouldn't be long from letter to appointment.
Re: hmmmm.....
thank you!
its just a bit worrying when other people are saying within 2 weeks they got a letter through with an appointment to see a PS.
it was my 22 birthday the otherday, and unfortunatly the birthday fairly failed to bring me new boobies-lol, so i guess its back to the old waiting game for me lol!

Re: hmmmm.....
Hi,
I think you probably meant 8th April the referral letter was sent??? Well the NHS guidelines now, if they agree to your surgery, is 13 weeks from doctors letter to the op....I know that is definately the case where I live and in London.....So I don't think you will be waiting too long for an appointment for your consultation.
Good luck xxxx

Re: hmmmm.....
ah the wait must be terrible, I'd phone the doctors and try to find out if and when the doctor actually sent the referral, and if they've heard anything back yet, when they would expect to hear back, and all that.
No harm in calling. xxx

Re: hmmmm.....
hey everyone!
well i had a telephone appointment with my doctor today..........and she said that they recieved a letter back on the 5th of may, from the PCT accepting my refferel, happy with my BMI, and the fact that ive stopped smoking (i only quit today! but i told the doc i would stop after i saw here 6weeks ago....oh well!), and that the nexts steps are my scan in nottingham (quite a long way to go to a scan, would have thoguht maybe leeds cos i live near haworth in west yorks but never mind!), then seeing a psycologist just to make sure im sound of mind. YAY!!!!!!!!! im sooooo pleased, as the pct could have said they wont be taking it any further-but they didnt!!!!! so my doctor said i should here something in the coming weeks, and that if i havent had an appointment through in a month then to give her a call and she will sort it out for me!
so i havent been forgotton about after all!!!! wahooooooooo!!
my doctor said the scan will see measure me breast tissue in relation to my rib cage, and if it comes back below the bottom 5% of the average size then that will qualify me.........and she said in her opinion mine will be lower than that!
im so excited!!!
