numb boobies :( 368291 8oo8ies,

I think it's different for everyone, I didn't lose any sensation in my nipples, but I have a small patch under my right areola which is still numb. I know that it can take up to a year to get all sensations back hun so there is still time...

Hope aside from this the healing is going well! numb boobies :( 571992 x x

Hey hun, I'm in the same boat as you unfortunately, I have had fairly numb nipples on both sides since my BA. I have had a very minor improvement but the sensitivity is nowhere near what it was before my BA. I did know this was a risk but I prayed it didn't happen to me! At 3 months you could still get some feeling back yet, don't write it off just yet, it can take up to a year to get some feeling back. I'm still alittle bit hopeful but the closer I get to the 1 year mark the less likely I think it is that things will change for me!

Hey Hun
I had my BA nearly three weeks ago and my left nipple is numb and my right one is over sensitive, like loads compared to how it was pre op!
I think we just have to give it time. I know there is a risk that you can never get the sensation back but I guess thats one of the risks with having a BA.
Lots of love

I got the feeling back in my right nipple after a few months but the left one has been slowly coming back, it's no where near as sensitive as it was pre op and unfortunatly I'm not gonna get it back anymore than it is now. I dont really mind and knew it was a risk.

*gasp* I just realised I'm 5 months post-op! Where has the time gone!!!!!

I still don't have full sensation in my left nipple, it doesn't react at all to the cold, so I just point on the right side which looks very odd!

If I pinch hard I can feel some sensasation now, so I'm still hoping as there's something there that it will completely come back, although I had nipple sensation return quite quickly from my 1st BA I did have some numbness that returned to normal almost exactly to the year post-op, so there's still hope for you too still misf! xxx

Thanks cookie, we shall see, it still reacts to cold and looks fine, if i pinch it I can feel it, it's just very little sensation. I'll let you all know it it decides to come back, but I don't mind. I would rather them both be numb completely than have my tiny boobs back.

Ahhh at least with the normal reaction to cold, you don't look odd like me LOL I'm still having to cover rightie with a make-up pad to disguise my embarrassment. Like you, if I at least get them to react normally, I wouldn't be too bothered either babe - hopefully 'all' will return for us all though. xxxx

Hi,

I'm nearly a year post op and am just about getting full feeling back.

I had full feeling in my left boob and nipple after about 5 weeks but my right boob and nipple took ages to catch up!

I finally started to get feeling back in my right nipple after about 7-8 months post op. I still have numb patches around the right hand side of my right boob and underneath though!

I was like Cookie and had one erect nipple and one soft one as recently as 2-3 months ago but they seem to have evened out now. I looked very odd on holiday in my bikini when the sun went in and it got a bit chilly numb boobies :( Icon_eek
