Hiya everyone. I'm 2dpo today and back sleeping hasn't been too bad apart from its effect on my bum!
It's sore and numb from being propped up on my back,is there anything I can do to ease this?many thanks! Xx

Re: numb bum!
Oh I can remember this. The back pain and numb bum was worse than the boob pain! I just tried to get up for little walks around the house to get the blood flowing & rub my bum too!

Re: numb bum!
Lol yes I do a lot more of that than I was expecting! I'm a side sleeper usually so never realised this would be an effect! X

Re: numb bum!
I am a side sleeper too, the only pain I ever got from the op was back pain, nothing else! Numb bum too!
Try to move into different positions (on your back), sometimes a bit less up-right etc. As long as your shoulders & chest is above the rest of your body you're fine xx

Re: numb bum!
Thanks firecracker yes I've come up with some strange variations involving twisting my bottom half and keeping the top half flat! That's great you didn't have pain, mine is pretty uncomfortable but certainly better today x

Re: numb bum!
Try putting a pillow under your knees Mirren recommended this and it also stopped me from slipping off the pillows :) xx

Re: numb bum!
Laying on my back for 4 weeks was for me worse than the BA . I'm a side sleeper. I had a really bad back. It's all part of it unfortunately but well worth it. Xxx

Re: numb bum!
That's a good plan Sarah Lou I'll try that tonight.
Yes Anne I have a bad back and neck anyway so I'm expecting a flare up! Is it 4 weeks you stay on your back then?
They're great dannieyram perfect shape and size wise. I know they'll change but I love them how they are right now! X

My surgeon said go to side sleeping when it felt comfortable, I was on my side by 2 1/2 weeks. Was sleeping flat again by 3 with no morning boob

Re: numb bum!
That sound manageable, when I had my c- section I was flat for a few weeks too, but I wasn't propped up so it didn't seem to effect my bum!
Well I think even if they were an odd shape I'd still be delighted as anything would have been better than the state I was I'm lol. I'm so excited about being able to fill different clothes and swimwear. I'd never have gone abroad on holiday or even to swimming pool the way I was x
