...and had my dressings off - the nurse said the scars are healing beautifully, they are perfect and very flat already, I just have to keep the steristrip on for 4 days, then take it off and that's it, just keep drying them with a hairdryer after showers until I see the surgeon.
That said, I got my appointment with him on the 23rd of April - which is 7 weeks after my op, not 6.... aaaargh, I'll go mad waiting for that long before buying bras!!!!

aww nice to know everything went well, i know what your saying about the bras my appointment is at 61/2 wks but i have been told no real bras till im 8 wks.

I'm sure the time will soon fly by. Good to know your scars are looking good though 👍

Actually, I thought the 23rd sounded familiar... that's the date I'm going for my check up with the surgeon... so that's a massive NINE weeks post op for me!!! I'll be away when it's six weeks.

i think a lot of nurses suggest using a hairdryer (as long as you keep it on cold!) I have read it a few times before and yes, it is a really good idea xx

Its a good idea as towels carry alot of bacteria, i used my hairdryer and they dry the incisions really quickly x

7 weeks your lucky lol im not seeing mine till mid April.....9 WEEKS after my surgery lol. Atleast iv been told i can wear underwired at 6 weeks, but im becoming quite attached to my sports bra even if its hideous and unflattering, it looks after my boobies very nicely .... nuts i know Screwy
