Re: did u buy new tops?
Hiya, yes i had to buy some new tops and throw some away but i can also still fit in some too so it does depend on material and style really.
I can still fit in size 10 and 12 tops so it's no massive difference really although i do now have a few 14 to accomodate the twins more reasonably :teehee:

Re: did u buy new tops?
Most tops have some stretch in them and I've found I haven't needed to throw any out at all, other than cotton shirts with no give in them, I look like I'm about to bust out of them!!!!
But other than button up shirts (I'm fine with the cross over style) I've remained the same size in all of my tops. xxx

Re: did u buy new tops?
Good question. I have refrained myself from buying any new tops in case they don't fit afterwards. I am an aa cup currently wearing a , size 6, some tops I find too tight now. I am hoping to be a small C when I have my BA.

So far...early days... my tops still fit me, they just look heaps better! I am going to go shopping for a few new tops tho as I have kept my BA a secret at work and so want some clothes to just disguise them a bit at first or the attention might make me feel uncomfortable. xxx

Re: did u buy new tops?
I did not have to buy new tops, everything fitted me, I found coats were my worst nightmare as they have no give in them, so if I wanted to do them up over my new boobies I had to get a size up (or leave them open or buttoned only at the waist). Fitted dresses were also a no no as I could never do the zip up over my boobs. I'm sure there will be a couple of things which may or may not fit yoou. But believe me you will want to go out and buy new tops to show off the new assets
Re: did u buy new tops?
I depends on the top for me, t-shirts and vests still fit me fine (just look better than pre ba) lol. I have trouble with shirts though as even size 12s look like they can pop open at any time but 14s are way to big everywhere else. There might be somethings you will have to buy new but mosts things should be fine. x

Re: did u buy new tops?
For me it depends on the material and how fitted the item is in the bust area, for example my size 6 dresses that are very fitted in this area and don't give, unfortunatley don't zip up anymore. However, I bought a new dress for this weekend which is a size 6 and because the material is a little more stretchy it fit perfectly. Oooooo and it made my look a-ma-zing!
Everything else fits apart from my fitted button up shirts as again there is no give at all and the buttons pop open . I've sent all these to charity.

Re: did u buy new tops?
I bought new loose fitting tops in the beginning to cover up my new additions until I'd got used to them myself. I've also found that some of my dresses that have no give in them just won't do up past my bra line. Stretchy stuff is fine tho.

Re: did u buy new tops?
Hi Bumblelady,
I was a size 10, 34b before my op and I'm now wearing a 34 D sports bra. I've had to get a few new tops mostly the ones that button up as they're just too tight lol but the others still fit and actually look much better now I have a bit more to fill them with!!! xxxx
