Is it all part of the op for surgeons to use sizers and then finally decide the size when you are in theatre? Or do you decide on a size before hand and then that is what you come out with at the end?

In my case, I tried on several different implants at my consult and decided that the 500cc looked the best (so I thought). Well in surgery right before they put me under, I had one last talk with him about what I wanted. I said I think I want 500 but I just want to be a full D for sure. Well he ended up going 600cc which gave me a 34D/32DD so Im VERY happy he used his own judgment instead of just going off the numbers I THOUGHT I knew. Im sure Id be disappointed with 500cc now that I have the 600cc.

my surgeon is going to use sizers for me, because i have stretched skin to fill, but i dont want to be too big. Ive asked to go for the smallest i can get away with that still fills the skin, so hes going to use sizers.

My surgeon doesn't use sizers. I'll have a couple more appointments before my aug in september, and the size I choose before the surgery is the size he'll be using.

Neither of the surgeons I saw used sizers as part of the consultation process. My PS won't be using sizers (the saline type which can be filled to determine size) as part of the surgery either. I think they rely on their experience to know what size will fit. x
