booked! help needed!
Hello
I have finally booked for next week!!!!! I am now petrified, it took me all day to pluck the courage to actually confirm!
Ok so tonights questions! Im haivng 260CC unders and have young children but my prtner has taken a week off to help out. Im just wondering how long people were "housebound" for? Other than sore boobs do you feel you can go out and about with children?
Also for those that didnt tell people after a week are you able to walk/act nomal so that people wont guess?! Only im due to visit family a week after!
Any help appreciated, im actually terrified now!

Well done on booking!!
Firstly, you are having unders so prepare for it to be uncomfortable. I had overs and was very sore for the first few days, found it difficult getting out of bed. Unders will be worse.
You may walk a little hunched over for a while. As for family coming a week post op, I really don't know how you will be. Personally, I think you will be in pain still.
Don't mean to sound so blunt but you should know what the deal is with unders. As long as you keep on top of your meds though you will get through it xx

Re: booked! help needed!
hey hun, i had partcial unders, it wasnt so much pain, just achy.
its hard to use your arms for a while, ie getting up, dressing, making tea.
i took 2 weeks off but i ha nose done too. my Oh took a week off and i needed that, as he cooked my meals for me etc.
i just felt like chilling most of the time, in my pjs on the sofa, i dint manage short walks, but as for doing stuff for my self took at least week, but maybe cos i had the help i didnt push myself?
congrats on booking!

Well done on booking. I had partial unders and a lift, but my OH took two weeks off and I needed it, I slept alot the first week and the second week I was getting my strength back, I couldn't drive until the third week as my muscles were to sore to change gear successfully And it really hurt if you pulled the muscle and set me back a day recovery wise I think. I had a 6 month old baby at the time and I couldn't lift him until mid way through the second week, and then I had to be careful. It was worth it though as I am so happy with my boobs

Re: booked! help needed!
Congrats on booking! YAY!
You'll be housebound for 'about' a week, whether or not you'll be up to meeting with family after that will be entirely dependant on how well you're personally getting on with your recovery. Some people find they're up and about after a week, others take a little longer.
My advice would be not to commit yourself hun, if you're up to it - Great! But if not, you're not letting anyone down then are you. xxx

Re: booked! help needed!
Hi,
I had 265 partial unders last April. I had them done on a Monday and until the Thursday pretty much stayed in bed and was in quite a bit of pain. On the Saturday I had to take my 2 yea old to a birthday party - my sister came with us because I was still in some pain but noone at the party would've guessed anything major was wrong. On the Sunday my sis in law came to visit who didn't know about my ba - I just said I was feeling a bit under the weather. I also went to the pictures with some friends that night.
I suffered quite a lot with unders and was in pain for a few weeks - didn'tpick up my son for 5 weeks etc but I was still able to do things - I just took it more easy and if anyone asked what was wrong I just said I'd hurt my arm doing something.
You will be fine - you might not end up with that much pain - everyone is different and as long as you keep taking painkillers you will be ok,
Good luck,
claire xx
