How many appointments?
I've just booked two consultation for next week, woo hoo!!!
I'm just wondering how many appointments and check ups are involved in the whole process.
One of the clinics i'm going to is in my home city, and the other is an hour away. Both don't do surgery where the clinics are so would have to travel further.
I'm not really worried about travelling, but what about time of work?!
After the first consultation I'm guessing they'll be another consultation with a surgeon, so more time off.
How many appointments to you have pre and post op? I know within reason it will depend on the person.

Re: How many appointments?
I had 2 pre op appointments with the surgeon and then 3 after the op. That was with at the Nuffield.

Re: How many appointments?
You can request to see your patient co-ordinator and then your surgeon on the same day to avoid making two appointments to come back again. or if that isn't suitable, some surgeons offer late appointments so it might be worthwhile asking about that too.
I went with Transform.
I saw my PCC then PS on the first appointment.
I then had to go back for my pre-op screening appointment (had to go back I think 3 times for this as my blood results weren't acceptable so needed re-testing)
I then had a second consultation with my PS a week before my surgery. (this isn't essential, but was requested by me)
You'll then need to arrange time for your post-op checks.... 1 week post-op, then 6-12 weeks post-op, then 6 months post-op, then your year post-op appointment.
