periareolar incision
Have any of y'all had silicone implants through the areola? I ask because I'd much rather have that incision than the one on the crease, but supposedly it's usually the crease with silicone. I was originally going to get saline because I didn't want to wait till my 22nd birthday, and in that case it was going to go through my areola. Can it still be done with silicone? Thanks ladies!

Why is it that you prefer the areola incision rather than the crease?

Re: periareolar incision
no personal experience of it but I've definately known girls to have silicone implants with a periareolar incision, so it's certainly possible but it's up to the surgeon if they like to do it that way or not, I'd say most UK surgeons prefer going thru the crease but you aren't over here are you? so you'd just have to ask your own surgeon if you have the choice x

Re: periareolar incision
Hi,
My friend had the periareola incision and she had 300cc silicone unders. She only has a tiny little scar.
I did enquire about this kind of incision but apparently my areolas were too pale and there would be noticeable scarring! Not everyone is an ideal candidate for this type of incision.

Re: periareolar incision
I'm in the US and my surgeon prefers the periareolar incision, but last time I saw him we were discussing saline implants not silicone. Ended up booking a few weeks later for september to have the silicone instead. I want the areola because I don't want to have any scars on my breast and I have the right color areolas to hide the scar. It's also his favorite incision site and I know I'd end up with a good outcome, and if not, he does some sort of laser scar treatment. I don't wnat to be sunbathing in an itty bitty bikini top, or even topless, and have a chance of people seeing scars below my breast.

Re: periareolar incision
I wasn't offered that here in uk but if had been I would have definitely taken that option xx I didn't even know they could do that I have really pale areola though so probably wouldn't have been able to have it anyways <sigh>
In saying that my vertical scars (I don't have horizontal ones in the crease) are really pale now with no dark line
Bet you can't wait eh Fawn? xx

Re: periareolar incision
No I really can't!! I booked nearly 2 months ago and still have just over half a year to go... it's driving me insane!!! When I hit the "most visited" tab on my internet browser breast buddies is 1st on the list. I'm totally fixated on this and its practically all I think about! I find myself making lists and making money budgets during class. I even burned myself last night while tempering some creme anglaise because I wasn't concentrating but thinking about boobies instead haha. I'm not nervous at all just very impatient! Been wanting this for 10 years, and then when I'm finally in a place financially to do it, I have to wait to turn 22 because of the **naughty word** laws in the US!

ah! I hadn't thought of this! I might have to pull my deck chair up a bit rather than lie flat... but them come to think of it I don't ever get em out when I sun myself.
People have periare... lol the peri incision all the time, I've heard of bigger implants than 300cc going through the nipple. I would have it if the risk of not being able to breastfeed later on was lower. I want to do my unborn children that favour, imagine if I go crease and I still don't get to... Not gonna jinx it!
You should definitely have another consult/conversation with your surgeon before Sept to put your mind at ease hon x

Re: periareolar incision
Thanks a lot ladies :) I'm very happy to hear it is done and I'll definitely be contacting my surgeon to put my mind at ease! He honestly never even mentioned crease incision.. it was either areola or armpit!
