Sports Bras etc!
Hey girls, just letting you all know I had a little trip to my local Primark today and picked up a few bits and bobs!
They had high implact sports bras at half their normal price, from £6 down to £3!
Also.. got a gorge pink stripy 'sleep shirt' that buttons the whole way, kinda looks like a mans oversized shirt, v pretty! Hopefully will keep me warm enough after as Im used to sleeping in fleecy pjs all year round haha!
So I think thats me basically sorted with what I need to buy for after the op, I've 2 sports bras in a 36DD (1 Primark, 1 Shock Absorber) and 1 38DD from Primark incase i swell.. Do you think thats enough!? 3weeks tomorrow, im sooo excited!!

The V pillow is more for supporting your back hun, and to help prevent you turning onto your side in your sleep. You'll really appreciate the pillow after your BA!

Hey Cookie - do I take my V pillow in the car with me to protect my new boobs from seatbelt and if so do I sit like above pic in car or pillow in front - stupid question I know but knowing me I'd do it the wrong way all way home and wonder why not helping if not that pillow what type should I take ?

Re: Sports Bras etc!
I just used my regular pillow for the car journey home Kate. I placed it across my body protecting my boobs from the seatbelt, so the seatbelt sat directly over the pillow if you know what I mean and I just sat cuddling the pillow like a baby! LOL.
Re: Sports Bras etc!
Theres so much to learn isnt there! I dont think I could do it without the help of all of you! Got into a little tizz with my mum in Primark today while buying a bigger band width bra, she was telling me i didnt need it and i was nearly shouting 'THE GIRLS ON THE FORUM KNOW BETTER MUM!!' haha! I am actually obsessed with boobs!
Also.. i tried on my sports bras outa curiosity there, and to be honest they arent that lose as it is.. im slightly worried they'll be so tight after they will suffocate me and turn my nice new boobies into pancakes!

Your sports bra's will need to be quite snug to give you the support you need honey. I bought the M&S zip up front ones as even though they come in cup sizes if you're slightly out they will still fit. I measure a 34FF now and bought a 36E which still fit now. I would have bought a 36DD but the E cups and above are made from a thicker fabric which looked more supportive. I had Asda bras in a 36DD and these fitted fine too (although they wouldn't touch my boobs now what with fluffing and weight gain!!)
Such an exciting time honey - enjoy it! xx

Woah Sally, i see in your stats your were initially an A cup! What size of implants did you have? They fluffed quite a bit didnt they! I keep having these wee panic moments, like today for example, I tried on a size 12 coat in Karen Millen and it wouldnt close over my boobs, and my mum then started ranting at me that I will never get clothes that fit after i have my BA! But I mean obviously I will, I wont be the only girl on earth with big boobs! But still.. It does worry me haha!

I have bought a sports bra size 38DD as recommended by the surgeon - do you think I should get a bigger one just incase of swelling?

Hey Tilly, i think you would be better getting a spare in a bigger bandsize just incase of swelling, nothing worse than being in a too tight bra and being sore! Just buy a cheap one from the likes of asda or tesco seeing you will probs only wear it for a few days!

Re: Sports Bras etc!
Oooh lucky you!! I'm having 300cc partials, currently a 36c buy slightly tuberous, so will hopefully be a dd/e after and the implants should lift my nipples up to the right position as they are a bit low! I'm a 12-14 so I should also be fine
with the change!
Are you nervous!? I'm starting to freak out a bit lol xx

Re: Sports Bras etc!
I had 445cc initially unders which took me to a 34F then because of complications have the same size implant overs which made them slightly bigger. I did have some breast tissue initially but not very much and what was there was very empty.

Re: Sports Bras etc!
I was told to get a 30D and a 30DD sports bra (I was between 28 and 30 pre-op) I have been wearing the 30DD one and i'm now almost 7 days post op and it feels really comfortable! I haven't had much swelling at all, although my nipples were, god they felt like 2 huge bullets the last few days!
It's okay they've calmed down now and gone back to their original size thank goodness!
