Hi hun - welcome to the forum. Just read that you're in Carlisle - I had my op at the Nuffield in Newcastle and they were fantastic. The surgeon I went with is a breast reconstruction specialist at the RVI and he did a fab job (even if I do say so myself lol!!) With the Nuffield you don't have to go through a PCC either - you deal direct witht he surgeon which was a big plus!
I have 3 kids and didn't want too many people to know about the op. I had unders and they were painful for a few days but my husband helped a lot.

Hi hun, welcome to the forum!
I have told close friends and family but no one at work or any acquaintances know and it's been very easy to keep it a secret. It's easy to control who knows and who doesn't if you're going for a natural look. I was also really worried about telling my mum but she was OK about it, surprisingly! Good luck with your consults hun! xx

Hello and a warm welcome to the forum Mia x
I believe you will be able to go through with your plans without anyone knowing. I did, well only my daughter and closest friend know. I have a natural result and that is what I wanted, just a couple of little bumps on my chest (They are fab by the way) No one has noticed or said anything and that is how I want it.
They have made me feel complete and happy with me, and, I would do it all again in a minute. I would research well for a reputable surgeon who is experienced in all placements, and has relevant membership of governing bodies, and, who you feel comfortable with. There is a few Ladies here had great results from surgeons in your near locality. Good luck on your journey. x

Hello Mya x welcome to the forum! :wavey:
Did you see if it's possible to book with Mybreast where you live?
With them you directly see a surgeon , not a PC..

Hey Mia X, welcome to the forum.
You should be able to see a surgeon whenever you want, waiting 6-8 weeks before surgery is just something they say to push you into booking quickly so the PCC get their commission.
Have a look around at some of the surgeons on the BAAPS list. Most of them have their own clinics and will offer consultations. A clinic like Transform/Mya is very importnant, but the surgeon is the most important person!
