Ba and Uplift
Haven't posted since my consult with Mr Rezai over a week ago. I did like him but he said I needed a vertical scar uplift (lollipop, I think) He thinks if I fill up the space in my boobs with a 400cc ish implant that in just a year or two I will be back with saggy boobs wanting a lift. He said also that to fill me up with an implant would give me quite large breasts, larger than he would want me to have and look natural. He said 340's would look great and they did look lovely in my bra.
The other three surgeons I have seen Mr Khan, Mr Chantrasak and Mr McDiarmid all said slightly ptotic breasts but NO uplift at this stage. They have said 410 or 430's, 430's or 460's and 380's or 410's respectively.
James McDiarmid even when pushed by me saying I'd rather have one really successful op than two, said no lift required.
I don't want an uplift and tbh it terifies me, the thought of the scars, and if that's what I need then will prob abandon the booby project. My exsisting ones are smmall and floppy but not all that bad. (just have to stop looking at the lovely bikinis and underwear though)
I am going to give my boobs time to shrink back a bit more, I stopped Breastfeeding after a year in early January so will reassess things in another few months.
Hopefully they will shrink enough for me to have a smaller implant without a lift.
Any views or experiences would be great girls. I'm sure you'll help me see through the fog!
Also, I think and Mr Khan said I look like I have more sagging than I really have because my breasts are lowish on my chest so if anyone has this also I would be really intereseted in what could / was done and the results.
Thankyou, xx

Re: Ba and Uplift
I'm sure i've memtioned to you before but I had an areola lift with ba to correct mild ptosis, did you ask about this at all or just a full uplift?

Re: Ba and Uplift
Hey Hun, sorry your consult has raised these questions xx :console:
Which surgeon were you most happy with? If 3 out of 4 are saying no uplift recommended then maybe the majority are right?
I had a lollipop lift and have some pics up that you are more than welcome to look hun xx As you will see in the pics I definitely needed an uplift due to ptosis, you can also see the scars and how they have healed xx
I had Mr Khan and he really does know his stuff xx I'm sure that if he (and the other 2 ps's you saw) thought you needed a lift they would have said straight away

Re: Ba and Uplift
It is so confusing when you get different opinions from different surgeons.
My surgeon told me I would have to have a big implant to fill the breast out, he said it would look too big and heavy and would most definately end up droopy. I opted for an uplift and small implant and I'm really pleased with the results. I understand your fears about the scars...I was really worried I'd end up with horrible scarred boobs....but they look great (even if I do say so myself) and they look better with each passing day. If you want a peek let me know.
It might be that it's a bit too soon after breastfeeding, so if you give you breasts time too settle you'll get away with a smaller implant. I just wanted to tell you that having an uplift isn't as bad as you think.

Re: Ba and Uplift
Thanks girls.
Yes I have seen your pics, mum23boys, they are great. When I questioned Mr Rezai about the areola lift ( I saw your pics just a day or two b4 my consult with him) he said that I wouldn't get away with just that!
Kay, out of all of the surgeons, I liked Mr Khan - he was the only one who said my breasts were low on my chest and I didn't have as much sagging as it appears I have. Lots of girls get great results with him but I am concerned that he isn't on the GMC specialist register. Not too concerned about BAAPS and BAPRAS as he has American and European Society Registration and is indeed a Fellow of those two orgs but the GMC thingy bothers me!
Alfie, I agree I will give it a bit of time to allow for any more breast changes post feeding and then redo the consults. I guess if I need an uplit at the end of it, it will be best done at the same time, one anaesthetic and less overal cost etc.
If I could have a look at your pics too that'd be great, thx for the offer.

Re: Ba and Uplift
he is on the GMC register as licensed to practise, he not on the specialist register though, I believe they have to work for the NHS to be on it. He has worked for both the NHS and private practise and has had many years experience. He has to be on the GMC register or he would be operating illegally. He is also part of FRCS.
