Re-op booked but think surgeon has got it wrong:S
Hey Girls I really need some help. I had my boobs done in august i had 340 partials. A few months ago i noticed that my left book was different to my right. Its like a figure of 8. It has dints in the sides and when i tense my muscle i get a clear line across just looks like ---> 8
My nipple is really high up and my scar has moved up my boob. I researched this and I guessed I have bottoming out. I went to see my surgeon on friday and he agreed i need a re op but every time i mentioned bottoming out he ignored me. He was only concerned about the dents and said he thinks i need bigger incision making to release implant. when i have researched fixing bottoming out a common cause is over discecting the pocket. Im worried that this will make my boob worse not better. Am I wrong? I cant cant tell a doctor he is wrong I just felt like he is only addressing one problem or are they causing each other if you understand me. My re-op is 2nd of march and im getting worried that it wont be fixed. please help :) Natalie xxxx

I think you need to take you're concerns up with your ps hun. He's the one who really knows your particular case.
You may also consider posting the question to one of our resident surgeons.
Good luck with your reop and do keep us up to date lovely xx

Definately go and talk to him again, don't rush in to the op without being absolutely confident in what he's doing, it may be that he just hasn't explained it properly what he's planning on doing and why.
If you're still not happy perhaps ask if there's any alternative, like switching to overs or something if the muscle is the problem, I don't know, but do ask your surgeon more questions.

You shouldn't be coming away so confused like this babe, not when you are about to undergo surgery.
You need to make another appointment with your surgeon to enable you to discuss this further with him.
Write your concerns down and have him address each issue you want the answers to. Don't allow your surgeon to ignore you babe, make sure you come away with the answers and that you're comfortable with the surgery you're about to have.
Good luck with everything sweetheart. xxx

thank you everyone for your messages. i kind of felt silly like id be insulted if he came to my work and told me how to do my job but i just dont want to have surgery all over again and the problem not being sorted out. my op is march 2nd i dont know if ill get chance to see him before op. do you think he'll be annoyed at me asking him to explain if what he'll do is going to sort my bottoming out xxx

Definitely talk to your PS again as soon as you can but try and be a bit more direct with your question..say 'have I bottomed out?' If he's agreed to do a reop you need to know as much info as possible so that you're happy..

I agree with Bambi you should ask for clarification directly about how and why the problem needs to be sorted. Youre not being rude at all, its your body and if you explain how anxious you are and need reasurrance by understanding the situation in more depth Im sure he will be more than willing to help. It sound a bit like muscle distortionto me with how youve explained with the shape and line....
good luck thinking of you.

what if he still can't explain it to you then tho?
Try and just get a phone appointment with him asap to find out if what he's doing will address your bottoming out problem or not. You might not even need to go down there if he's already confident that what he's planning on doing will correct all your current problems. There's no harm in checking and having your mind put at rest.
