A little update :)
Hi girls
I know I haven't posted on here in ages, so hi to all the girls I haven't spoken to and hope all the girls I know from before are doing well
When I was last on here I was a bit unhappy with my new boobs - one dropped more than the other and I think I was also finding it difficult getting used to having boobs full stop. From being completed flat chested it was quite a change..I took a while to emotionally adjust to my 'womanly' shape, I think.
But 5 months on..lefty has almost caught up with righty, still massaging but it's almost there. And I've finally been fitted for some decent, underwired bras. I was measured a 32C but ended up being put in 32D(!!) bras. I can't believe I now own - and FILL! - bras of this size
So I guess I just want to say - I know it's quite common to have 'wonky' boobs after a BA, and it can be really disheartening after all you've been through. But they can even out..they just take their time about it!

Thanks for the update. Im glad everything has worked out in the end for you. I think its really helpful for pre and post oppers to hear honest stories of how it may take time to adjust and how things may not be perfect straight off so we are either prepared or reassurred in how we may feel.
Thanks chick and lovely to hear from you again....

I agree Anne, it does definately help us pre-oppers, so that when it's our time and things happen (or even don't happen) we are not as alarmed and know that it can indeed take time!
Thanks for sharing your experience samarie
Breasticles, I wouldn't worry chick, I'm sure your righty will catch up soon hun, reading all the posts on here, it seems it's quite common that one lags behind alittle.

Re: A little update :)
Hi Sam,
Thank you so much for this post. It's really helpful to hear your thoughts and feelings about your journey with your new boobs. I am pre op (no date set, yet... maybe one day!) and one of the reasons for this is that I am going through a predicament not unlike what you describe here only I don't have to physically face the adjustment right now, I'm getting ahead of myself and just doing it psychologically or at least trying to determine how I will react.
I am worried that if I go through with the surgery then I may not be able to adjust to the change my body has been through, like what if they are too big? You said that going from completely flat to having a womanly figure was quite a journey and this is what I am unsure about (I'm about the same size as you pre op). I'm even scared that having boobs just wont look right on me, so used to being boobless what if they don't look right?
Anyhow, it's really good to read a story like yours that shows exactly what I fear because I also see that it's not me being over the top with thinking how you have described, it actually does happen and you learn how to adjust eventually.
A really helpful post, Sam - thank you!

Lovely to hear from you hunny and glad you're adjusting to your boobs, it took me ages to adjust to them after being flat too so I know what you mean x
Re: A little update :)
Glad you're loving them now, I guess us girls on here want perfection straight away but our bodies need time to adjust and we're all different so it takes different amounts of time.
Worth the wait hey xxx

Re: A little update :)
Thanks for all your lovely comments girls
Breasticles - I know how you feel, my righty was much lower than the left for quite a while. Like a real difference, one scar looked about 1.5-2cm higher than the other. When I saw my PS at 3 months for a follow-up lefty had dropped a little, but he wasn't ruling out a re-op. I saw him again yesterday and now he thinks it'll be ok. So it can take a few months, unfortunately - infuriating I know. I think my boobs have been particularly slow though. I really hope everything works out for you hun, and your righty gets a move on!
Jennie - it's your decision and no-one can rush you. I have to add that I think I was a bit unprepared; I made up my mind and went for it without thinking too much! You sound far more rational than me. Yes, it did take me a while to get used to having them there, but now I'm so glad I did it..I've got about 10 years of bra-shopping and wearing nice tops to catch up on!
From your stats you seem about the same size as me. I think as long as you tell your surgeon what look you want you won't look too big. I didn't appreciate it at the time, but my PS put a strict limit on what I could have, based on my build and my hip width! I think they can be quite aesthetic people and wouldn't want you to look out of proportion. Because I wore super-padded bras before, under clothes I don't look that different to how I looked before - depends on how tight the top is lol. It's more of a reassuring knowledge that now I have a 'grown-up' woman's body, if that makes sense.
Good luck to all the pre-oppers xx

Re: A little update :)
hi hun just wanted to say this is a great post, it does take some adjusting to your new size after the op and the new shape it gives you. It seems to take a while for our brains to adjust and we may feel it's not us when we look in the mirror. We are all different and it can be a quicker adjustment for some and take a while for others. As for the wonky boobs for a while, I know exactly how you feel as I too had this. But you are right it just takes time for them to catch up.
Re: A little update :)
Hey Hunni.
So happy to hear that you're feeling happier now.
Lots of love.

Another wonky worrier here!
I keep having to fix my boobs in my bra to help them look similar, 8 weeks post op!
I'm seeing my surgeon next month, but it's good read there is still a possibility that they may sort themselves out. xxx

Re: A little update :)
Hiya samarie, so glad you are feeling much better about your boobies now. I know it does take some time to get used to boobs when we've been used to having none. I too had partial unders and I suppose that's why the surgeons say to wait a year before we see the real final result.
Glad you are happier xx
