Does anyone else use bio oil on their scars it is supposed to help the scars fade quicker. Does it sting when first used?

Re: Scars
HI miss pinky
I used bio oil on my boobs, but on my scars I have to confess I put savlon on them!! it worked very well for the first two weeks when the strips came off, and from about 4 weeks post I put bio oil on them and still do twice a day.... I didn't fancy using bio oil on the actual scars immediately, they were quite red and angry at first and the savlon definately soothed them and it is antisceptic...
but.. some of the girls do use bio oil on there and has gone well I believe..
I also buy my bio oil from ebay cos its cheaper! xx

Re: Scars
Bio oil is for scars and stretchmarks, it helps to fade them. I'm not sure how much quicker. Other companies offer their own scar cream, some people use tape with silver in it. I use bio oil and it needs to be massaged firmly. Everyone heals differently so I'm not sure how effective these creams are, but even placebo's work so everything is worth a try.
Re: Scars
I have to confess to not using anything on my scars and they healed perfectly!... almost invisible infact, except for a very faint silver line....
Unless I feel my scars are bumpy or raised, I don't think I'll be using anything again, I'll just leave things to good old mother nature LOL... But as misf1 says, we all heal differently and if you feel something will help in your healing, then you'll be fine to use it hun 'once the wounds have closed'

Re: Scars
The scars are healing nice no infections but sometimes a bit tender but im not sure if it is the sports bra aggravating them.
